Silent Scope - Innovative, challenging, highly realistic, tremendously fun shooter. Not all shooters need to have 5,000 things to remember.
Unison - Forget the silly "ripoff" issues that no one really gives a damn about anyway. After all the ultra-complicated sports games and infinite-danger-every-second military/combat games wouldn't it be nice to cool down with a game where 1) you can practice each level as much as you want before the actual performance, 2) the levels are pretty easy to clear, but tough to get perfect, and 3) the protagonists are beautiful dancers? You'd be surprised.
Klonoa - A "nonviolent" game that's actually fun, and challenging, and deep, and good for the whole family? AND with some of the most breathtaking 3D graphics for any system? It's a crime that this furry critter doesn't get more recognition.
CART Fury - It's amazing how rare it is to have a racing game where you're allowed to race. Where you don't have 50 things to adjust and can just jump in the cockpit and put the pedal to the metal. What's not so amazing is how many people actually seem to like this.
California Speed - Ditto.
Winding Heat & Racing Jam - Ditto again.
Swing Away Golf - Aren't depth, challenge, and lots of stages three of the holy grails of console gaming? So why hasn't this one gotten more attention?
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing - You can have your Tekkens and Soul Caliburs and Bloody Roars. Pounding the living daylights out of your hapless foes, and trying to avoid having the same happen to you...THAT'S fighting.
Pop 'n Music - Children's game? More like all-ages game, which is even better. And c'mon, who doesn't like colorful animations and beautiful music?
Pump It Up - I'm telling you, if you can somehow get past all your prejudices, you'll love this game. (Oh, and start with Normal Mode, like I even need to tell you.)

quote: To me, many are taking the wrong definition of 'underrated'. We're talking mostly about lesser known games, or games which were not as popular as they should have been. Underrated means that those who did play the games, gave them worse reviews than they deserved. With that, my list:
Asuka 120% LTD for Saturn Angel Eyes for PSX Burning Rangers for saturn Super Burnout for Jaguar Her Knights for GP32 X2 for PSX Berzerk for DC Stretch Panic for PS2
in that case, i'll choose ZOE at first, the critics praised the game. then when the final version came out, they bashed it so much because it didn't live up to the hype that those very critics created. granted, they're somewhat right; the game could've been so much more. but what game couldn't? i didn't find ZOE disappointing at all. i haven't played the game in a while, but i remember that even the English voice acting was decent
Spoiler (Highlight to view) - sure, that kid was annoying as hell, but that's how they intended him to be. another Shinji; a young child with a huge responsibility. i can't wait to play the sequel. Leo's (i think his name was) personality seemed to change a lot. he seems "hardened" now, like a veteran soldier (in a young man's body, of course) seeking justice
End of Spoiler

These are three random games that I personally feel are overlooked...if you've played any of these (Particularly the first and last ones,) please tell me. :) Thanks!
Cool Cool Toon-
I know like two people who have actually heard of this game. Featuring Jet Grind Radio style graphics, a nice soundtrack, and fun gameplay, this Dreamcast game was overlooked, yet great.
Final Fantasy Legend 3-
I'm not sure if this is overlooked, but I don't know a lot of people who have played this, either...I really enjoyed playing it. (Legend 3, the GAMEBOY game.)
The Journeyman Project-
Why this came to my mind, I don't know. =P

Here's one people might have forgoten, but if you've played it, you must recall how good it was. LAND STALKERS for Mega Drive. This game took the ARPG genre to a whole new level yet people can only remember how good Zelda is.
Nights, Panzer Dragoon series, Fighter's Mega Mix.(am I the only hardcore Saturn fan here??) And I also second the first FV.
Jet Set Radio, this game is in a class all by itself. And the sound track, baby.
And oh yeah, ICO for PS2.
As for arcades, Red Earth from Capcom. This was a great game, combining RPG elements into fighting games. Was there ever a port to any home systems??
SNES YuYuHakashou (sp?). Wicked idea for a fighting/strateg game.
But overall, most Sega games are underrated. Being a DC fan is like being a Mac user, kinda sad really...

Definitely not the only hardcore saturn fan here, but if you are one, you should know that those games are in fact VERY HIGHLY rated by all who own them. Except for maybe Red Earth.
And I think DC users get the same respect as everyone else...I mean it *still* gets the KOF games first. And its installed user base is still respectable. just my two cents.
Anyone who says Panzer Dragoon Saga was underrated is wrong. That game is perhaps the most lauded title on the Saturn...no-one could deny it.
