ok, here's the situation earlier today, i was speeding down the hov (high occupancy vehicle) lane. sadly, the speeding part is really nothing new to me. it's a horrible addiction i'll probably never be able to kill. i usually speed, even when i'm not in the hov lane, but i'm more careful outside of it (there's more cars and civilians to deal with, there's police to look out for, etc). anyways, i slowed down to 80 mph because the car in front of me kinda slowed down, and when i looked to my right, i saw a cop with a radar gun pointing it directly at my face. needless to say, it scared the hell out of me. now the question
does anyone know if radar guns "with cameras attached" are currently being used on the force?
what really pisses me off is that the cop was on the other side of the lane thing (i dunno what it is), and instead of aiming his gun towards oncoming traffic, he was aiming it at the hov lane. i mean, COME ON!! who doesn't speed in this lane?!
anyways, after exiting the hov, there weren't any cops waiting to pull me over, but i'm very scared that they may have some new technology on their hands (as i mentioned above, the "radar guns with cameras attached"). hell, nowadays they disguise patrol cars by letting policemen drive sports cars, they take the lights off the top of other patrol cars, they have cameras waiting at stoplights for people who run red lights, the list goes on and on
i'm hoping there's someone out there who's absolutely certain of this info. thanks in advance. HISS *takes out his stick again*

I've never heard of radar guns with camera attached. What's the HOV lane? To be certain just contact the Police Department in the area that officer would have came from (be polite of course)
What city was this?
A link to Nona's web site was on mmcafe.com before. Does anyone have a link to Nona's web site?

Hmm. At least here in Colorado, the cops are a bit sneakier about radar guns, hiding them in parked cars or high above intersections. (One of the reasons I'm too freaked out to drive too high above the speed limit.) Only way to really know if they're in effect, though, is if you get something in the mail in a couple of days.
Still, I suppose you should try to remain as calm as possible... If you're worried about the finances, find some way to make it up -- but otherwise, all you can do, cheesy as it sounds, is encounter possible negative results with a positive mindset. ^_^

in parked cars or above intersections?! god, that's satanic damn those speed fiends. we're trying to live in a society here!!
and, uh, don't worry about me. i think the main reason why i'm continuing to remain freaked is because it's a bit of a ritual for me. every time i focus on the worst possible scenario, things usually turn out very nicely
also, i've gotten about 4 hours of sleep in the past two days and i can actually feel the caffeine flowing through my veins! *jams to Robo's theme*
