First, an easy one wich characters makes that you have bought, or will buy, or maybe by the Kindomhearts game??? Disney or Square....No,no,no,not booth of them, you must choose a side.

IMO I'm a Square fan and I hate the disney cast exept in movies, and in this game for a cross over (50/50) it seems that disney got the lion part without doing anything........

Oh yeah, they didn't do anything except create every single movie each world is based on... shame on them for getting so much out of a game when all they did was spend millions of hours animating movies that will touch the hearts of generations to come.

(bitching aside though, I think the FF characters were added as an after thought to what was supposed to be just a Disney RPG. At least that's the best I can figure were their are like 7 of them)

I like the Disney Cast. I love the way the remade Donald and Goofy.

But I like the Square cast,too. Heck,isn't it wonderful to see two universes together? I think so!

I like both sides (and also Sora,Kairi,Riku and Ansem,who look like a kind of Disney/Square hybrid . But even being Square the main responsible for KH,it wouldn't be so attractive without Disney's characters like Alladin,Tarzan or the Little Mermaid,so I pick Disney .

Dr Baghead, that's what I'm saying disney didn't do enthing the world of there animation where not invented.....the most part of the disney movies are tales that already exist since a LONG time...and when they try to make a new one they take proceedings.....(the lion king for exemple, thank Mr Tezuka..)

IMO the Square characters have 10002489645712152 times more charisma the all the disney staff.
And your right a disney only RPG will have be a better Idea a shame that they have to put Square cast to sold the game........

Well anyway it seems that the game will nevr have a sequel so.

Well, this board is mostly filled with anime fans, so it'll be obvious to find some bias against Disney. Myself? As a kid never liked Disney, I was more a fan of the old politically incorrect WB cartoons and the big robots series (Mazinger, Grendizer) that were on tv. So I don't plan on getting this game, really. And I've heard many negative comments about the gameplay.

And for the question.... it's already a Disney game, isn't it? they can't reuse characters that were in the first game, their stroy is finished... Will they make a game with the Hunchback of Notredame and hydrocephallic Minnie?
A sequel needs to be Square alone, or with someone else than Disney. If it's Square , I would like to see a game exactly the same way with many many square universes (one world = a digest of the scenario of 1 game) with as many old games as recent ones : one for each FF, one for each Seiken, for each SaGa, for games like Musashi, Rudora, Dewprism, Chrono... A much, much better gameplay, and a free team (no hero obliged, and no characters locked in their worlds).
And no Nomura.
Especially no Nomura. Ban this guy in another universe. If they do a square only game, I don't want him to destroy the characters I used to like.

YES! That'd be delightful! I'd love to see a Kingdom Hearts idea but make it 100% Square. I'd die. I do believe I'm in love with Squaresoft.

HOWEVER... I'm also a HUGE fan of Nomura. (I think I'm the only one.) I'm a big raving fangirl of his style and I like Akihiko Yoshida's as well. ^_^; I dunno... y'knows me... a sucka' for art.

Actually, according to what I've heard, Square and Disney Japan share a building and a bunch of executives from both companies were in an elevator together and had one of those "you got your chocolate in my peanut butter" moments and decided what a neat idea it would be to mix their characters. Admittedly there are much more Disney characters than Square, but I think a game with lots of Square stuff and a little Disney wouldn't have stood out as much as what it is now.

And I do have to say that although I hate Disney (the company, not the product) Disney has never been about inventing stories, but taking older ones and animating them beautifully. So saying that Disney's stuff isn't original isn't really fair and it's not like other companies don't do it as well. I mean, how much stuff has been based on the Legend of the Monkey King alone? I'd rather have a well produced take on an older work than an "original" idea that was boring and cliched (Grandia, Wild Arms etc.)

I agree, I think it's pretty cool to see two companies having their cash cows [er, I mean "cash cows" in the nicest possible way] do an unlikely crossover.

This poll also demonstrates a weird problem that shows up with crossover events: instead of enjoying both sides, fans often end up picking one of two camps. Considering all the go-nowhere arguments that came about from Capcom and SNK making a few games together I'm surprised companies even bother trying to put together crossovers.
