Being in Fairbanks Alaska I don't have access to real arcade. The closest thing would be the crappy gameroom at my college's rec center.. which only has crappy games... like BIG BUCK HUNTER, or Gauntlent Legends. They do have an MVS machine with KOF97 in it.. unfortunatly the sticks have been mistreated to the point they barely work.

The closest real arcade to me is some 500 miles south in Anchorage.... if I had a car I'd actually consider driving down just to play... but alas I do not.

So any of you in a crappy situation like me?

Through some miracle, Las Vegas now has an arcade with nearly new, fully functional MVS cabinets with all the newest games, including ROTD and KOF 2002. Its as if hell froze over and became a water park.

All I can is...ITS ABOUT FUCKIN' TIME!!

Heh,New Mexico is like a nowhere land when it comes to arcades. We have crappy games in ours, and the games they do have I already have(MvC2,e.t.c.)

It's sad all right. We only have one good one in the whole state!

My campus rec room has a MVS system with Metal Slug 2 and Aero Fighters 2, one of those Ms Pacman/Galaga combo machines and a few other games no one plays. The town has an arcade, but no one's ever there and I can play MvC2 and SF3 by myself at home for free.

My actual hometown has a few good arcades, but they've been phasing out fighters and their ilk for more trendy games where you have to move and stuff (Rescue 911, that Samurai game) and old light gun games I've beaten a hundred times.

There is an arcade within 200m of my house but it isn't of good quality. A much better one is about 1km away, with KOF2002 and ROTD.

The arcade near me used to have ALL the newest Capcom fighters, they even had Marvel v.s Capcom on a enormous 60+ inch screen (oh the memories). But now, no 2d can be seen except for one lone cabinet in the back with a emulated Street Fighter 1 and 2.

Want to hear something blasphemous? my campus's college has a Soul Calibur arcade IN a MVS cabinet.

Pretty much the same in my town, as we only have the odd old Marvel VS game, and various driving games and what not. We don't even have a DDR machine in our arcades, it's that bad.

I suppose I could go over to Vancouver and cruise the arcades there, which do have a few good games. But when I hit Richmond I rarely have time to gameplay (Anime goods shopping) so I can't sit down and enjoy KOF 2k1...

There's actually a decent arcade up in the Greenbelt mall, near me.. they have Cap vs. SNK 1 and 2, Third Strike, SS 4, and a nice variety of other games. The sticks, when broken, get fixed pretty quickly, too. The owner's a nice guy; he's pretty good at " Tekken " .

I'm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and I'm quite lucky to be near a lot of arcades which have the latest games ^^

I've been playing a bit of SC2 and happily enough, Cyber Troopers Virtual-On "Force", with the nifty card system.
And yes, they even have the "butt poking fortune-telling game" (by Konami?) here.

Too bad I've been working 7 days a week for the past few days ;_;

I have one or two near me in downtown Toronto, they have a pretty good mix. There's one that's not too far at a gigantic asian mall with all the good/recent fighters and a TON of dance machines.

Ooohh... You're giving me sad memories... the arcade I used to go (had only KOF2000 and Tekken 3, but that was very good then), had very good competition (I've made very good frends there), and the guy in charge was very nice, and also very good at Tekken.
Then, in January of 2002, it closed, and 4 months later the only other arcade that had anything other than lightgun and racing games. We have never had great arcades here, but we lost the little we had...

You're in Delaware? That's close enough to New Jersey. But I doubt you'd come here just to play arcade games...

Anyway, New Jersey has a lot of arcades where I live. They just all require driving to get to. Ugh, I'm 17 and don't even have my license yet. But most of the arcades have a pretty good selection. I have yet to see any RoD or KOF 2k2 machines around, though. Then again, it's been a while since I last went to an arcade.

You'd best visit. If it weren't down that is.

Last new aracde I saw here was a single KOF2001 and a few Pump it Up machines...

Ha ha!

Dude, did you get the sunflower with the sunglasses on it, or even the awesome Coke can with sunglasses? Both dance to music, and both are awesome games! Ehhh... just kidding.

I know the feeling, though. There's a few arcades in Memphis (only at the malls), but I go to college in Mississippi. Mississippi sucks in just about every way, which means no arcades. The nearest mall is at least an hour and a half away. There used to be a crappy arcade in the student union (it even had a bowling alley!) that had Darkstalkers and Samurai Shodown 3, but the machines were in such bad shape that I never went there much. The new Wal-Mart here has an arcade, but it's the "super fuzzy non-violent redneck arcade" with only racing games and stupid deer hunting and fishing CRAP. Bleh.

With the addition of Kof2k2 my arcade is like Heaven on Earth.

Every Saturday Morning there is a "Video Game Blowout" in which from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. for a $6 cover charge you get all the unlimited play you want.

This arcade has DDR 4th mix plus(every DDR song up to 4th mix is in this game), 5th Mix and 7th mix. Guitar Freaks 6 or 7th mix, initial D arcade stage, Beatmania IIDX, and a few others. The only thing other game I would love to see them add is Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. I would be there every Saturday.

Its an arcade called Gameland in a shopping center right next to the Meadows Mall. They just got KOF 2002 this weekend, and 2001/ROTD last month. Apparently the owner of it rocks and actually acts on what requests he gets! :D

My Campus Rec Room is a ton crappier than it used to be at the University of Arizona, ever since they demolished the Old Student Union, the new one leaves much wanting... Anyhow, they have an MVS with Bust-A-Move, Shock Troopers, and Metal Slug 2. I keep trying to play the latter, even though it just eats my quarters each time. They also have CVS, SFZ2, and other things I forget at the time being, but, anything I want to play here, I can just go home and play the newer, updated version.
