...it has become a shooter?
That's what mostly intrigues me: has it become "only" a FPS? Or it still has the platforming, the non-linear enormous map, the hidden missile and bomb supplies, the super jump, the jumping in walls ability, the secret combinations of Samus' beams, weapons and accessories, etc.?
Please, tell me it's the second one...

The only thing that metroid prime takes from being an fps is being in the first person view. But the jumping actually works and the shooting of things well you dont aim you got teh lock on so you can manuver and stuff.

One thing that i don't like about the game, and thankfully you can turn it off, is the Hint System. It acts like Navi in Zelda, telling you the next place you have to go, but i feel that it detracts from the whole metroid experience.
But yeah, this game is pretty much the only way a first-person metroid could work. Very, very pleased with it. And yes, there are lots of hidden missle expansions and health upgrades. However, i've found a lot of the missle expansions for such little progress in the game. I'm at about 30%, and i can carry 70 missles already!
The space boots are sweet!
The wave beam (just got it) is great as well.
C'MON SUCKA!
