so there must be some nude stuff at least in the Japanese version!
from the-maggicbox.com
- Tecmo's Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball for Xbox will receive a CERO content rating of "18+ Only" in Japan, those who are under 18 years old may not purchase the game in Japan. CERO is the Computer Entertainment Rating Organization, which is similar to ESRB in US.

Rated mature due to comic mischief and scenes of intense jiggling.

CERO? Funny thing is, I've never heard of them or from them...on packages and in store aisles at least, there are no ratings for games in Japan. Are they an independent organization available with info for those who ask? The only demarkation is to set aside specifically adult games, usually PC games...a kid will have just as easy a time buying DOA2 as he will Klonoa. Tell more~

Heh,I wouldn't be surprised if there was nudity in the Japanese version. If anyone plays that! Let us know!

Nope, Europe is the worst of all when it comes to the banning of games. Hell, even games like " Vampire Killer " were censored for the European release...

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the CERO has no legal power at all, meaning that anybody will be able to buy the game anyway.

Interesting to see those X-Box boxes...is this just a Microsoft thing going on? I honestly have never noticed CERO's presence in anyway whatsoever in the 32-bit era. Anyone aware of their history? Granted, Japan has never given much of a damn for keeping X out of Y's hands anyway (and certain book stores had their adult sections comically close to the children's sections -_-) CERO, CERoooo....

I've heard that there's SOME sort of group that rates/ censors games in Japan, but I haven't heard of that many that have been. I heard GTA3's banned over there because they didn't want kids playing it. Apparently, there's no form of ratings system there, and they can't just put a sticker on the box that says, "Check ID" or "18 and older" on it....

To the extent of what I understand, CERO only appeared recently, first known for giving the ratings to the upcoming Episode of the Clovers, and Majyo Occhakai on the DC. And the games are actually 18歳推奨, instead of the old 18禁.

I guess that means that underages can still buy the games?
Also, they emphasized that they still aren't removing that ban that prevented console games from having adult content since the early 32bit days...

Well, that depends on what they define as adult content. Nudity doesn't seem to count, because the intro for DOA2 had a nekkid Kasumi in it (no real detail, but still nekkid enough for America to censor it out). Wait... if I remember right, you can unlock the real intro in the American DC version... Still, it's still technically censored out.
