chou 蝶-butterfly
Kumo 蜘蛛 (often written in katakana クモ)-spiner (I assume you meant spider)
Iruka 海豚 (often wrtten in katakana though イルカ)-dolphin
Karasu 烏(often written in katakana though カラス)-crow

and Kimera is just that キメラ. Kirin is a mystical beast, and has nothing to do with Chimeras of European decent. Of course, Kirin is also a giraffe :P

Sorry to step in or anything, but you said that Kimera is just that ....

Kimera is not Chimera since it is already different... Are they??? My body needs sugar, I can not emphatize that one enough.

In Spanish we say Quimera to translate Chimera; but it's very little know, most people made a mistake & say Shimera... There you go people; now you have a nice cultural fact to impress your girlfriends, father, mathers or other relatives during dinner.

Sadly I know that not anyone of you care for anything of this... I'm sorry, I have slept 3 hours & I haven't eaten anything in like 12 hours.

PS... I will add the french interpretation to my world-wide cutural facts LoL

In French, a Kimera is an Asian looking, outrageously made-up woman who sings opera covers with dance beats in a soprano voice.
Don't think that'll help tho!
