Could this be an indication that Sammy is going to attempt to create its own " MVS " like hardware?

I'm aware of this, but Sammy is the publisher. They most likely are the source of Arc System Works' funds.

My biggest concern would be that cardridge systems seem to be rather easy to emulate.

Hmm, it could be, but it's rather early to tell, I think. I wonder how they'll keep the CD quality music, myself.

Unless GGXX used CD-tracks for the music (which I would doubt) They'll probably just put the music files in the rom chips with the rest of the data. Most likely they are some type of high quality mp3 or similar format.

Myself, I'm wondering what's going to be the max capacity of these cartridges. To fit everything, it'll need to surpass what the Neo Geo carts can hold.

the more powerful the hardware is, faster the compressed data can be decompressed
(IF they compress the data... well... this is an idea...)

It's not difficult to fit a Gigabyte of RAM chips in the palm of your hand. They can make the cartridges as large as they want as long as they are willing to pay for the ROM chips.

high powered cartiges don't seem all that hard to imagine

but if it is, as they say, cheap to produce, then more arcades would be able to pick up ggxx, and that's a good thing!

keep in mind, that, the newer the hardware is, the longer it will take to emulate.

GGXX IS on a CD (Naomi utilizes CDs), but that's a valid point; I don't know if it's in redbook audio format or what...
