Looks pretty cool, especially the scene with Cloud and Sephiroth.

Awww man, for a while there, I was hoping we in the US were on the same level of what Japan was getting.

Looks really cool, especially that new render of Sephiroth by Nomura.

But seriously, why couldn't they just add a scene like Cloud vs Sephiroth in the original US version.

I wonder what triggers it.

-New Keyblades
-new Skills
-for sure one new boss, the hooded guy from the hidden ending movie. (he fight with some light saber thingy)
- new scenes: on Match seph vs cloud, On new with Ansem, And a new CG movie with a black hooded mickey smashing the groung with a key blade.....

You know... this japanese mania of releasing slightly arranged versions of their games less than a year after the normal one is disgusting if you analyze it...

Why no including the changes at first?

This is lame. Very lame.

Too bad i dont care enough since I returned US version of the game. I dont really like it when the camera of a game tries to make me vomit.

Businesses won't be able to do this concept of releasing an initial inferior version too often or too repeatedly though. If they do, consumers will be too hesitant to buy the initial versions, thinking that a future completed version will come out. Then businesses would most likely fall into a trap of having to release an initial heavily-advertised title that experiences poor sales, then having to invest more in development/production, distribution, and advertising to release a second updated version of that title that would then be the main seller.

[I doubt companies would want to go through the development/production, distribution, and advertising processes twice just to experience the same number of sales of one product. Let's hope these companies have a bit of foresight and catch themselves before they fall into such a trap...]

They wouldn't be "changes", then, right? ^_^;
All that new stuff that made it in the US version and in "Kingdom Hearts Final Mix" wasn't coded yet when the original version was released... Sure, they could have delayed the release to make a better/more complete game, but hey... eventually, the game has to be released. ^^;
Sure, it shouldn't become an excuse for those guys to release incomplete games, but did "Kingdom Hearts" really feel incomplete? Should we really blame Square for releasing a new version with new stuff, months later? In a way, we're given a choice: do we want that new stuff or not?

I don't mind these kind of things for PC games, because you usually just have to download a patch or get an expansion pack for such things. For console games, you have to buy the whole thing again, basically making the previous game useless. Whats worse is that these versions rarely come out in the US.

Anyways, I really hope Final Mix makes it to the states.

If FFX int didnt come to the us... then kingdom hearts final mix has NO chance whatsoever of coming out here. Wtf is wrong with square?? Do they constantly have to keep releasing better versions of the same game..... its confusing as hell and extremely unfair.

2 things puzzle me : first, (maybe I am wrong on this point) the japanese "international" versions of FFX and KH have american voices and Japanese subtitles. In other way, even if now, years after FFX has been released, I want to play it, I will have to play the non-complete version because I want japanese voices.
The other thing is that, when games like FF7 international came in Japan, it was actually released as the 2800 yen economic package (ie : you buy the game one year later, you buy it at a small price but new, non-second hand, and you have new stuffs in it). And if you had the first game and absolutely wanted the second, it wasn't that expensive.
But now, KH final seems to be the price of a normal new game.... So the next time I will buy a square product, (ie Unlimited SaGa) I will think twice : should I buy it now or in one year with all the new stuff, scenario, items, cut scenes, character they will add?
I wonder if This game will have an international version as well.

That's basically my outlook on mass media hyped DVDs like Lord of the Rings. Within a few scant months they release an even better DVD set, and we in my household predicted that when the first DVD came out (but then we bought it anyway because we didn't see the movie in the theaters).

It's a real cheap trick to make more money (learned this after getting burned about the Terminator 2 DVD... that really pissed me off). When companies do it they either have balls or they're confident there are people still willing to buy it.

I agree with you on the DVD thing but you should know that New Line Cinema had announced many many many months ago that there would be 2 DVD sets for the Lord of the Rings. The one they started to sell in August was the 'regular' edition with extras. And the one being sold in November is the "hardcore fan" edition with other extras. Its stupid/silly to have to sets, but on the other hand you can justify it by saying, "we should have two sets because if we have one set, then that one will cost a lot more and maybe the average fan will not care for the extra stuff, let the hardcore fan buy both if they are really hardcore." I hate it, its just about squeezing more money out of you. I'm sure when all three movies have been released there will be a super duper special edition with all three movies.

Back on the topic of video games. What Square, Namco and some computer game companies do with "re-mixed" games is just bad. Like another person said, it kills confidence and its a blatant grab for money. Remember when Capcom did all those different versions of RE for the PSX. Same junk. This really burns the fans and makes things worse in the long term. People will more likely pirate or not buy cause they don't trust the companies any more.

Other companies should be praised though. A few companies sell special editions of their products, but they sell them simultaneously so that there is no future surprises. Perfect example is Warcraft 3. You could buy the regular or special edition on the day of release. Some games give you bonuses if you pre-order. Good stuff, but not any of these final remix crap that Square and Namco put out.

I can understand if you pay a small fee for some extra add-ons like expansion games for the PC. But full retail price on some few extras. Give me a break and shame on yourself.

OK here is some precision about the International of FFX.
1st Iggy FF int didn't got english voice on japanese subtittle, you just got an option that turn you the game in full japanese( voice , text, item, submenu....) or in full English (same as before) so with this little nihongo/Igo choice at the biginning you got the normal japanese or Us version.
the only mix you can do is the sphere board that you can choose to but for exemple I play with the japanese board on a english version.....

I bet the KHFM will work as the same a full japanese or a full english version.

I think so kind of thing start with FF7 when US version have two hidden boss more peoples in japanese have scream for it to so a japanese version with to boss more.
FF7 have 2 boss more
FF8 have 3 summon more than US and Europe
FF9 nothing as I know
FFX 9 boss more and some items a new grid
KHFM 3 boss of the US ver +1 new boss
new scene, new skill, new item, and a new camera system.

It seems that only big licence got it FF9, chrono cross, the bouncer, did got those so I didn't think that "Unlimited Saga final bonus remake" will be done.
just the normal versoion.

what square does different than the dvd guys is that the dvd guys usually wait like 1-2 years to do that special edition junk or let you know off the bat that theres gonna be a special edition. Square didnt let anyone know barely a month after the us version was released effectively pissing off a ton of people. IF youre gonna do a special edition... at least make it available to everyone without having to runto the import shop and paying the extra 10-15 bucks for it.

IMO it doesn't matter, since I allways plays import, and I'm not rich...
I think that we have to not forget that 50% or maybe more of the video game market takes place in japan.....

I'll say, since Gargoyles doesn't exactly mesh with the rest of the Disney themes. Considering what else is in Kingdom Hearts, I'd say it's actually a good thing there isn't a Gargoyles-themed world (The Nightmare Before Christmas seems a bit out of place, you know?).

The Nightmare Before Christmas level didn't seem out of place at all, at least not as out of place when you consider you're playing as look alike of "the guy from Bouncer" and Hercules just saved Cloud's ass.

It would fit just fine, just fill it with those stupid flying Heartless and make Demona the boss or something... in fact it would have made far more sense for Goliath to give you the "Glide" power-up then Peter-Pan (since Flying and Gliding are very, very, very different things)

Je crois qu'il y en a qui trouvent que ça fait "cool", "comme à Hollywood"... -__-
J'imagine qu'il y en a aussi qui ne supportent pas (plus) les doublages "à la anime"?... Mais il va leur falloir combien de temps avant d'en avoir marre des _mauvais_ doublages anglais, alors? ^^;
