"Random babbling of a topic...." , posted Sat 2 Nov 12:53post reply

SIGH... I'm so bored... I'm not interested in any of the other main topics on the board so I'm making my own, a very random one... if you're also bored feel free to respond with your own random babbling...

Videogames:
-I was watching my little brother play Vice City the other day... I was so happy! If you find a silver version of the car type "Phoniex" it's a 95% match of the time machine in "Back to the Future" (the doors don't open like a real dolorian and it's missing Doc Brown's add-ons, but other then that it's as close as you'd expect a GTA car to look to the real thing!) I plan to run people over with it trying to build up enough speed to get back to the future!

-also in Vice City you can turn cars and motorcycles into projectile weapons, it's very fun ^_^'

-November seems to have a wealth of good games coming out... two new Metroids being most obvious, but I believe SFA3 Upper is coming out for the GBA soon (A SFA3/Super Ghouls and Ghost/MegamanZero three-in-one guide has hit store shelves anyway) and MK:Deadly Alliance comes out soon too. (and I'm rather excited about MKDA... the stance switching, the massive amounts of secrets, the attempt at story, the trying to work projectiles into a true 3D game... it all sounds very promising if they can do it right)

-Although I play as Dan well enough to destroy my friends and family 90% of the time, I've been practicing in hopes of embarassing Cable-Ryu-Spiderman scrubs in the arcade.... I almost challenged one the other day but got cold feet! Why do I doubt my mighty Saikyo skills so!!!!

Anime:
-Does anyone know just how many DVD's Urseri Yatsuri is being released on? There's 9 right now but this AnimeNation doesn't sell them in a bundle I'm assuming there's more coming.

School:
-Arrrrrgh!!! I'm taking 5 classes next semeister >_< I only need to go to the city 3 days, but I'm there from 8am to 6:30pm or 8am to 3pm, or 12p to 6:30p....

-anyone know where I might find a good (read:cheap or free) .gif animation program? I've done a few walk cycles in class I'd like to put on-line as "examples" of my work

Life in General:
-Halloween is so sad these days, all the kids are growing up so you end up waiting around for 5 people. My best friend used to love staying home to hand out candy, now she's tired of it because only a third are actually little kids in costume... next year we're probably going to end up going to one of the Halloween events in SF dressed like Belle and the Beast instead of staying home.

-Can someone please tell me just how much time I'm going to waste if I try making a MUGEN character? I've got the strangest urge to edit some Ryo and Robert sprites and attempt making an "SNK Dan" like the rather neat "SNK Ryu", although I'm certain I'd be in WAAAAAAAAAAAY over my head.

-I'm sorry I haven't drawn Faye/Ulala/B.Janet, Iron-man, and B.Hayate yet... I haven't forgot I just haven't had the 'will' to draw lately... I've been neglecting drawing personal art too so don't feel bad...

The demo for Paint Shop Pro used to come with a copy of Animation Studio with it. It's not free, but you can use it's fully functional for 30 days. It should still have it, but I haven't used it a year or two so I'm not sure if they still include it.

Vagabond is about the life of Miyamoto Musashi. So it's a realistic manga, not like Blade of the Immortal which is a little bit Sci-Fi.

I don't know your definition of "badassness" ... I prefer "Samurai Deeper Kyo" (only the manga, the anime sucks),"Vagabond" 'n "Rurouni Kenshin" than "Blade of the Immortal".

i've got a pretty decent gif animator
just come on icq (yes, somehow you're on my list o_O) and i'll give it to you

yes, i will ramble as well ...
i've decided that my life is pretty crappy. the only things i've been able to get positive results at are video games and my martial arts class. i probably won't drop out of school, but every time i walk through the campus, i feel like i don't belong there
ah, depression. long time, no see

EDIT:
rambling on a lighter note ...
one of my friends sent me a Love Hina box set as an early Christmas present. i've spent all day enjoying the anime ^_^

Does anybody know of a good site for dummies such as myself who just don't have any idea on how to get the most of Photoshop? The tutorial that comes with the program believes that I manage fairly with computing terms, which is NOT the case...

Yeah, the Metroid ones are the most expected games this month . After all,it's Samus twice !!! Who doesn't like Samus ? Well,Mother Brain and Ridley don't like her,but that's another story ...
I'm also excited about MK:DA . It does sound very promising (some people who played its beta version said it's even better than Tekken 4 and VF4,but they're probably exagerating) . But ... are you interested in the game itself or just wanting to see Li Mei's cleavage (why don't Midway sell that character to the Deador Alive producers ?) .
Sonic Advance 2 is also cool (but it's not going to be released in November ... is it ?) . The new character,Cream,is very cute !^_^ She will be a nice new member to Sonic's gang ...
But the game I'm really after now is Mario Party 4 . Let the party begin !

"UY DVD's" , posted Sat 2 Nov 23:01post reply

Well, I don't know how many DVD's there are out right now, but I assume there is going to be alot more than 9. It's a 200 ep series, and at 4 eps per Disc Animeigo has a long way to go before they can get it all out (Not including Movies and the OAV's...).

Heck, Animeigo's has dragged their legs on UY so much it even looks like Ranma is going to finish before UY....(And considering the head start UY had on Ranma in releasing, that truly is scary...)

I'm taking Digital Imaging (Illustrative Photoshop usage basically) right now, so I've gotten a pretty good graspe on how to work most of the basic tools and techinques.

If you need some help ICQ me (#159328195) or AIM me (ShougoAstaroth)I've been in a bad habit of not turning either on, but I'm trying to correct that (at least on the weekends). I can try to help you.

Well this avatar is temporary, Baby Samus will probably be back after I've played Metroid Fusion. (Just as Belle and the Beast found their way back to being my tag after I got the DVD)

hmmm, speaking of tags I should probably make me a new one...

WOW! It's 4 a disc?!?! that's insanely low!

Well, I've been saying recently "the only anime I've ever really liked is UY" so having to buy over 50 $25+ DVD's will just be my way of proving it!

Today I realized that I spend way too much money on video games. I really ought to limit myself to having no more than two new games in progress. This weekend I bought Suikoden 3, Timecrisis 2, and Vampire Hunter. I still haven't even finished IcewindDale 2 (PC) or Star Ocean 2 yet. Then there's always IcewindDale (PC) and Serious Sam second encounter (PC) that I got at least four months ago; I still haven't finished those either. I also have yet to complete either of the campaigns in Warcraft 2 and I haven't finished the broodwar expansion for Starcraft.

All are good games, neat new stuff just keeps coming along that I *have* to play.

I suggest that no games be published in 2003 so that I can finish enjoying the stuff I've already got.

No, let's get serious 2 seconds, no more.
That manga is just a crappy excuse to show some stupid teenagers doing some crappy teenagers things but it's oh so cool in their teenagers eyes, and having some ridiculous teenager anger against the world wich is so unfair and bullshit.
The teenage crisis, especially without any counter point of view, is definitely one of the most pain - in - the - ass subject one can ever choose. And dress the characters like youngs huslers of the Porte Dauphine is definitely NOT a way to make things better.

And, last thing, I just hate Asada because his drawing style is a complete rip off of Tajima's one (and a bad rip off, may I add). Nishizono Shinji (even when he is.... what he is now) (cries) is 100 times cooler than any of those teenage prostitutes.

Adobe Premiere says that I must wait 40 minutes before actually checking the result of a 4 minute video edit. Have some time to kill, then :D

So, random stuff.

Finally saw Shaolin Soccer. I liked it a lot, but I can understand why they might edit parts of it for american audicences (read about it on ainticoolnews a long time about)

I smile when I think about some of the moments in the movie. That's my seal of approval!

Been watching (and re-watching) Harvey Birdman, atorney at law. I accidentaly ended in the adult swim home page when looking for something (I forgot. Really. Happens often) and decided to download an episode or two (since I don't have the necessary directv or sky or whatever you need here to watch the american Cartoon Network)

I really liked the show. Much better than I expected. Phil is my favorite character so far. Will probably try Sealab later.

What? 35 minutes left? I guess Premiere minutes and real life minutes are different time measuring units.

It occurs to me that an awful lot of trouble in Gotham City could have been averted a long time ago if Batman had just ripped the Joker's nipples off.

A man with the nipples ripped off him does not make the same mistakes twice.

I mean crime in Gotham City doesn't exactly seem to be affected by a man dressed as a bat flapping around the place. But no-one disobeys a man wearing a necklace of human nipples.

"I'm Batman" isn't cutting it in the striking-fear-into-their-hearts stakes. But "I'm Batman -- and I'm here for your nipples" is an entirely different proposition.
-- Warren Ellis
