quote: no problem at all. but don't you think square is so lazy to remake the game? all the add is a CG movie other than that it is the same as the WS version. oo and I don't want to think of the loading time.
Nope, there's more. Like FFVI and Chrono Trigger they're adding an Omake mode with Beastiary, Music Box, Art Gallery etc. They're redoing the soundtrack to 32-bit quality (the soundtrack is out now). Adding Mode 7 Airship graphics (basically the Airship graphics look more "3D-ish" like FFIV and FFV for the SNES)
But other than THAT, yeah it's basically a port of the WSC version. well you seems to agree that the game it self is the same only with some extras nothing new about the game, I wounder why they even called it a Remake, if you want to see a Remake see Dragon Quest 4 for the PSX or Dragon Warrior 3 for the GBC , that's a Remake because the do everything again from the begning.
Or the Tales of Phantasia remake for PS, redone, rewritten, and with extras (even a new character, a ninja girl, no less!)

Still, compare it to the original NES version and it's a remake taking the PSX additions AND the WSC additions into account.
Also compare this to FFIV, V, and VI for the PSX. All they are are just SNES ports with a couple of extras. Here they're not only adding the standard Omake features, but they completely overhauled the graphics and sound. And if you've ever played the WSC version, you know they added some new boss themes that weren't in the original as well as some new 16 bit "cutscenes".
A game doesn't have to have extra characters to be considered a remake. You're talking as if Square just did a quick simple and sloppy port sprinkled with tiny differences when it isn't. Compared to FFA and FFC, there IS a considerable difference between the WSC and especially the NES version.
