Scythes are always cool, but there aren't many scythe users in videogames. I was trying to remind characters that use scythes, and I've come with these:

-Rain Bilstein (Plasma Sword)
-Magus (Chrono Trigger)
-Lynx/Yamaneko (Chrono Cross)
-the new girl in Gamecube's Skies of Arcadia
-Saya (Samurai Shodown Warriors Rage)
-Dante (Devil May Cry), but only in a move.
-Jedah (Darkstalkers) not sure, need confirmation.
-Asura (SS64) again, not sure...

Any other that you know?

i think you're right about Asura. in those movies Rugal made, Asura's sword turned into a scythe or he took a scythe out of his pocket or something during a certain move. let's see what Rugal says about it ^-^

If my memory does not fail me Asura/Ashra commands 13 weapons, within them it seems to be an Scythe... 13 weapons... Where does he put THEM?????

I'm pretty sure he uses on in his Standing Roundhouse animation, though checking it later while I'm home would be nice.... Errr, checking that it's a Roundhouse, that is. I'm 100% certain that Jedah uses a Scythe.

I agree that Scythe users are WAY COOL...

I remembered this adventure game I played that the main character carries a scythe with him...URGH fogggy mind...Can't think of title....

Saya uses daggers, and Asra uses a sword. The fighters I know are: Jedah (his wings turn into scythes), Rain, Chaos and his palette swap Schultz (Toshinden), Testament (Guilty Gear), Death (Time Killers) and Death 13 (Jojo).

Did you notice how all of these guys (except Jedah and Schultz) have names based on abstract concepts?

Actually what Saya uses is a pair of small scythes and Asura's weapon seems to morph.

Scythes?
Hmm... Kireek in PSO wields the Soul Stealer scythe. It's quite a nice weapon to use, with a small penalty (life leech)

And Diablo II has scythes as a weapon class, does that count?
The Necromancer class wielding a scythe looks badass, but not practical ^^

You forgot to list the Death in Time Killers. Kind of goes with the character concept...

I have never played SS64, only SS2! on NGPC, but from what I can see, Asra (it's officially Asra, not Asura) mainly uses a sword that grows from his hand.

Kirke from Suikoden 1 also used the scythe. It's the same scythe that Lorelai uses (he gave it to her after the Suikoden 1 war was over. This is stated in some Suikoden mook or something)
