.......for $10!!!

I haven't played it yet because my PS2 is having trouble playing PS1 games, so I'm letting it cool off for a bit. It'll work later.

Anyway, is it worth $10. I've heard some good and bad things about that game. When the tracks were here to download I got a few and said that I had to get this game.

BTW, I got it at a pawn shop. On Monday, when I get more money, I'm gonna get KOF'99 for PS1 and Onimusha for PS2. I'm probably gonna pawn my old PS2 and buy a new model PS2.

Anyway, what's your thoughts on Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition?

When does the game take place?

PS version:
Bad: Lower resolution, missing animation, missing moves,Backgrounds dont animate, lower sound quality
good:
Duck and Ryo are hidden characters.

Timeline wise, it seems to be FF1.

Well....that doesn't sound good. But for $10, it's great!

Actually, keep your eyes open, Froboy. The year " 1997 " is prominently featured in the game at several points, so I'd say it took place in, well, 1997. Also, indeed, the Playstation version is missing some animation and various other fiddly bits from the arcade version. The colours also look less vibrant to me. It's still a pretty good and underrated game, though. And Geese has the raging dead end.. ^_^

I still haven't played it yet because my damn PS2 is acting like an ass. What really sucks is that it's selective. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania Chronicles work, but Wild Ambition doesn't wanna work. I hate that.

Good game worth buying. Good music. Graphics not great. Not much story. I don't quickly accept that it's a re telling of the first Fatal Fury game. I assume most KoF games take place in the year of release unless the mother company tells us otherwise.

So the arcade version says 1997? Well there you go.

Spoiler warning.

The game is basically a dream match retelling of the story from FF1 as if it happened in '97 with newer characters.

It would've been nice if FF1 actually had the same character roster as WA. I'll take Xiangfei, Mai, and co. over Michael Max and Hwa Jai any day. :p

PHILISTINES!!!!!! Those guys rocked big time...

The game has it's very own special methodics, is kind of slow but interesting.

MAX Desperation Moves are spectacular.
