The Furry Videogame Database. Ughughh...
... basically, for this site, a game's merits are based on what number of its characters are anthropomorphic, not taking much note to the quality of the game itself (whether it's a grade-A title or if it's about as fun as scraping off your skin with a cheese grater).
Now, I'll be honest -- being a fan of anthropomorphics, if I find out that a game that's well recommended by credible and experienced game players also involves anthropomorphic characters designed in a cool way, I'd pick it up quite soon, so that I can enjoy the game and the artwork. If it's only decent, I'll only pick it up once it hits a bargain-bin price, and I'll enjoy the character design. However, if the game itself is the equivalent of a Titus N64 title, I'll leave it on the shelf to rot as it rightly should.
For the record, though -- I never felt compelled to buy any game because of this site; if I was interested in the title in the first place, I basically learned any extra info like that from FAQs and fan sites of the game. (I.E. Cool Cool Toon -- it was all GameFAQs and IGNDC that convinced me to get it, as it was a decent game and also my first controller-based rhythm game. The FVD doesn't even mention it.)
The FVD however, while occasionally noting that a game may have had bad reviews, mostly says that any games involving furries are at least worth a look. And, occasionally, it does host its own reviews... like the one for Darkstalkers that says that gameplay involves "your usual hit buttons at random and hope for the best" ...
... and several other reviews just talk about how furry the game is.

Eh... the word "furry" itself is vague and has a lot of baggage associated with it; and when the word is used to refer to someone or one's self, it can cause confusion for the worse (especially after the horrid media reports skewed toward those in the fandom for sexual endeavors).
Sometimes, for simplicity's sake, I'll just generally say "furry" if the context makes it seem as if the word only describes anthropomorphics or fans of anthropmorphics. But for the most part, the negative connotations are generally why I refer to myself more as a "fan of anthropomorphics" as opposed to "furry." I mean -- yeah, I like anthropomorphics a heck of a lot and lean toward those quality items which involve it (heh -- and as you can note, especially involving canines). But despite the rather heavy influence, I still wouldn't go so far as to say it's the exact center of my life and hence associate myself with a subculture that already has negative public connotations. I'll admit -- there are awesome people in the fandom [Edit: the fandom being defined as a fandom of anthropomorphics, and not a subset of pr0n...], folks who I actually consider role models (i.e. the folks who spend time laboring over creating their costumes of original anthropomorphic characters, with the main purpose of creating said costumes to cheer up folks, say like at hospitals). Still, though -- calling one's self a furry in public can lead to a rather-quick social death. At least the anime fandom doesn't seem any longer to have a sexual connotation associated with it for the most part.
[Edit: ...sorry if this message comes across as being written in a tired and cranky fashion. Doing homework and studying for tests next week, spending time organizing stuff for the university anime club, and spending a lot of time with the cosplay costume, all lead to not enough time sleeping...]
