I personally don't think it would be wise for the GBA Metal Slug to be based on the NGP versions. The hardware was quite limited with graphics and on-screen enemies. The GBA can easily top those efforts.
I would love to see a brand-new exclusive mission like everyone else, but something tells me it may be a rehash of past Metal Slugs. I just hope that it doesn't end up like a Metal Slug 4, where a lot of stages and ideas were repeated.
I was surprised about the announcement like everyone else... didn't expect it. But like the others, I think Metal Slug would be a great addition to the GBA library.
