I'm sure many of our American friends here are already enjoying blowing zombie brains all over the show in Res Evil for GC, something that our dainty English fingers have been itching to do for TIME. Bearing that in mind, I decided to scrape together every last penny I could find (literally) to import the game over a month ago. And you know what? I'm still waiting. If I'd have known it would take this long I'd have waited for the domestic release, or bought CVS 2 instead. Now penniless and with an unsatisfied bloodlust I fear I may become a threat to myself and others if the game doesn't arrive soon. Are those burger-eating, slack-arsed jokels usually this slow or is this a conspiracy by Umbrella disguised as videogame distributers?

Ahhh! Sorry to hear your woes. I think I might have posted here before about this, but NEVER, I repeat, NEVER buy from Buy-Rite. Everything I've ever ordered has either come damaged or late. Happy Alternatives? Top choice is NCSX.com and Tronixweb.com is also a reliable source.

I think the last thing I ordered from Buy Rite was Last Blade and Project Justice. I never got it, but, two years later, I got a check from them for the amount I paid them, not counting the amount of money I had to put in to get the money back from them... Bastages.

Nope, it's about the right time frame. I got some GBA stuff from them last month and I'm still waiting.... so you're not the only one.

wow, i was planning to buy from that site, thanks for the heads up, they're prices were too good to be true ( on some games ), which made me very suspicious and hesitant to buy from them. i'll stick to japanvideogames.com
and gexpress.com

Buy Rite is pure evil. Never ever buy from them. Somebody else already recommended NCSX.com.. allow me to second that.

I've heard a lot of bad things about Buy-RIte, but personally I've had decent experiences when dealing with them.

I'd purchased the Valkrie Profile limited edition set from them, and it came completly in tact and reasonably fast. I also purchased Tron ni Kobun, which came with a cool Servbot squishy rubber toy which was later stolen from me by the crazy relatives/friends of my flatmates.

In fact I've recently had a bad experience with NCS. I don't know how many preorders they took for Mario Sunshine but I had to wait over a month to get my copy even though I had preordered... which ended up being about a week before the domestic version came out. Damn.

Overall though I'd trust NCS more than anyone. They've modded my DC and GC and provide great customer support. Just realize that you're never safe from delays...

Oh, it's not just delays, I know people who have been flat-out ripped off by Buyrite. They also have this evil habit of listing things they don't have as " in stock " , and then leaving you on back-order indefinately.

Only import shop I've done business with is NCS, and they rule. Rather quick delivery service, the product was fully intact, and their customer service is terrific. I sent them an e-mail, and got a response the very next day.

Highly recommended.

Well, Buy-Rite is within my state and probably has a tad of laziness due to its backward Southern nature. The prices are excellent on a number of items but the service isn't. At the same time, I didn't have a problem with them the one time I ordered something. For those people who were ripped off:
-I've heard that they are more competant if you telephone them and record the caller's name.
-Complain directly to them
-Complain to the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org). The BBB can't do everything but it will at least make an attempt. It gets the company's attention...especially if multiple people are bringing up the same issue. I've used it and got results (in other situations).

I actually plan on purchasing from them soon since there are a couple items I can't find anywhere else and of course their prices.

aside from UPS loosing my copy of Garou I ordered from them, and the possiblity that they didn't use my store credit from said lose when I bought KoF 2k from them, Buy-Rite hasn't been much trouble for me...

in fact I got KoF 2k earlier then excepted.

I never ordered from them, but at least my e-mail experience with them turned me off. When it came time for me to order a Sega Saturn import/RAM_upgrade cart, I checked BuyRite.net as an option. But they were so vague in their descriptions of the items, and there were different products and different prices in different pages: 5-in-1, 4-in-1, 3-in-1, and 2-in-1 carts. Only for $19.95. No wait, that was $39.95... no, $29.95... and wait -- what product was that for again?

I e-mailed them to ask questions and get some clarification on just WHAT was it they were selling on the Saturn.

Two long weeks later, in reply, I got a poorly formatted e-mail with information copied and pasted from their pages, without even any price quotes.

----

5 days after that, I was the happy owner of an Ultra Madness 2-in-1 cart from NCSX.

I imported the Dreamcast when it was brand new in Japan. It was broke when I got it and I had a hell of a time getting a hold of them to return it. They accidently sent me an extra Sega Saturn converter at no charge. Being very honest about these things and not having need for it I returned it to them but was not reimbursed for shipping. I never got the fan disk with CvsS2 neither. Which they told me they would "give" me if they got it in. Ha, I see they are selling it now.

I'd go for it...if I was rich and one of the ones screwed over. Lawsuits cost a ton of money. AT LEAST ATTEMPT TO MAKE A COMPLAINT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. It takes maybe 15 minutes to fill out their online form (based on your typing speed) and you get a physical letter from them in about a week. It is completely free. A class action lawsuit would have a good chance at being successful but it would take everyone to be organized.

The company I used to work for was flat our ripped off by BuyRight A.K.A Buy Wrong. They had plans on their war desk to sue them, but fortunately my old company's banker intervened and fixed the problem so they didn't have to. The guy who's voice was recorded on BuyRight's telephone advertisement at that time, is something of a rude ass hole who seems to think he is a Sopranos character.

I recommend NCSX.com. They kick ass.
