I am just displaying some pics I finally put up on my site that I drew myself. They are unpolished, uncolored, and they are just something I do from time to time for fun. So anyhow, you'll have to copy and paste cause I can't direct link to the pictures.

http://hungrywolf.0catch.com/originalart.html

here's the address to two original pics and short explanations for them. Also, if you read this page, if anyone wants me to put up their original artwork there, I will do it. :)

http://www.hungrywolf.0catch.com/fanart/BluemaryME.jpg?50m=image

And this is well, some Blue Mary fanart by me. In fact, this is the only fanart of her I have done (though I have done some copies before. I do a lot of copies, that are usually close to the originals. It's when I try to draw something original that it isn't that great).

Hey some comments for your drawings, if you don't mind Hungrywolf...

1. Colour...Yup a drawing doesn't come to life without colours...They look fine but they really need colours to make them really great...

2. Pencil...Urmmm try drawing from markers or something else? Pencil drawings give a less mature impression, even if they are done very very well.

Well, they were all drawn in pencil, and i inked them in ordinary pen so they would be easier to see scanned(except the picture I title angel, cause it was just something I did at school while I was bored, plus it's on notebook paper. lol). What materials do you suggest I use when drawing? And I always thought it was best to start out in pencil. Anyway, thanks for the comments! :)

Thanks, yeah, i know it isn't cleaned up good. Someone online cleaned it and colored it, and I'll put that up soon on my site.

Yes, it is always best to start out in pencil definitely. But I think you can draw quite well already so you can perhaps consider drwaing using soething else. As for what materials to use...Uhhhh I don't draw a lot, I use pencil as well...LOL but I am sure others around here can help...

Oh, thanks for the compliment! I'd really like to know what materials are best for inking and everything and how other people do their pictures.

"EDWARD!!" , posted Sat 17 Aug 09:04post reply

Hey! That's a really cute tag and av!! I completely love Edward. That kid's just too cute! I want one too! :P I want an Edward!

Anyway.. about the art. That's really good. I see you do just what I do for common drawings. I swear that notebook paper has the best drawing texture. o_O I don't know why they don't make unlined paper for artists. I've never met a serious artist who HASN'T liked notebook paper. My next up favorite is common xerox paper. That cheesy, thin-ish stuff. Also great texture. Easier to erase with.. nothing is as permanent as it is with "artist" paper.

Anyway.. your art's really good. How long have you been drawing? ^_^ <is just curious> I've been working at it for about 7 years now. Big long time.. o_O Whoooo~

But I did like it. Your Angel girl was really cute. ^_^

I've pretty much been drawing stuff my whole life. I've never really worked on it, I spent most of my time always doing copies of other works (not tracing!). I especially did copies of Comic book work. I always drew in class when I was bored. When I got into anime, I started experimenting with drawing some original stuff in similar style to it. I'm glad you like the Angel girl, I've had a lot of people say she was cute. And I love Edward too. :) Dr. Baghead made the tag and avatar for me.

I've pretty much drawn my whole life. I ran across anime when I was in the 6th grade. Almost instantaneously I fell in love with it. I couldn't help myself! I found my heart's calling. Before my art had just been doodles and simplistic pictures with no direction and no goal. But eventually I had a goal.. and that was to draw anime.. and be the best I could be with that. My ultimate goal is to strive to be the best of all. Yes yes... <laughs> Sounds like an evil plot to take over the world. But as long as I keep trying I keep getting better. ^_~

Most good artists start off copying another artist. Believe it or not.. even Yuu Watase, creator of Fushi Yugi and Ayashi no Ceres, said that she started off that way. But as she said, and I agree, eventually they need to break off and develop their own style. You wouldn't really be able to tell that I got my start with Sailor Moon. (And yes, that sounds so cheesy.) But now... looking at it, I've come such a long long way. I've developed my own style entirely. ^_~ So most artists start off copying, not tracing. Tracers never get anywhere, honest.

Ooooooh! I'm gonna have to get a new av and tag. My last went down and I got so bored of seeing those X- missing image boxes. So I just changed it back to a default I had before I started making my own. :( I need to go harass someone I know to host a tag and avatar for me. ^_^; I don't have a site that can do it.
