We've got a preview and 11 movies of Xenosaga up at Insert Credit...They're basically all spoilers, but some are interesting. As you'll see in my portion of the preview, I didn't like it much. It's pretty cool to see the voices for Spike and Jet from Cowboy Bebop in the same game. Chris and I thought it would be funny if they were to suddenly recognize each other.

Thanks so much for the review and taking the effort to put up all those nice Xenosaga movies! ^^ Bit disappointing to hear that it didn't get a good review. I really enjoyed Xenogears so I was hoping this one would have been tons better.
Oh, and I wonder when they'll release the English version...

Too bad that everyone is dissapointed by Xenosaga, seems that it's hard to make a game better than Xenogears... I'll check it when it's out here anyway! ^^

Hah, you must've really hated that game.
BTW, I dl'd your KOF2K movie with Kensou and I must say, I can beat that. But I'm too chicken shit to go over an do it. I hear, however, that you get the special stages in versus mode (don't ask me, I'm too broke to buy the game myself)

I think most people can beat that. I'm really quite terrible at KOF, as much as I love it. Didn't I put my usual disclaimer on my KOF 2000 post on the board? Yeah...never expect anything like combo movies or anything from me ;) I just brute force it.
I'll have better movies up with the review...I hope!

Well I'm using an ATI Rage Fury Pro...it looks much better with 3D stuff. But even so it's not top of the line really. It gets the job done pretty well though, I think.
As much as they change them around, to me 2000 feels the closest to '97 so far...dunno why. Probably the music and the backgrounds. Just a feeling ^_^

I've got one of those ATI cards in my old computer (I think it's an All-In-Wonder... crappy card), but I'm too chicken to take it out and stick it in my current one. That would make the old computer stop working at all for some reason... and I don't think I ever got it to look as nice as what you've got. My mom wants me to digitize all her home movies and crap, and I'm trying to convince her to buy me a good capture card and then I'll do it (not working so far because the other card still exists). I don't know, I'm just superstitious about putting two video cards in the same computer.

Just ask Vince, he'll tell you what to get.
The ATI Rage Fury Pro is pretty good...it was probably at the bottom of the top end (if that makes sense) when I bought it 10 months ago, or thereabouts.
Also, my card has started to look better now that I installed W2k. it didn't like Windows 98 that much, but 2000 really seems to agree with it. A pleasant surprise...

I got the ATI All in Wonder 8500DV. I'm happy with it. Its color balance seems a bit better than my Matrox Marvel G400... Definitely better than the ASUS Geforce 2 VIVO I've tried. I haven't seen a Geforce based VIVO solution that that great...

I've been thinking about it a little more, and I think it might actually be better if I set up that other computer for all the mess... wonder if the Line In jack on the sound card is still working. Heh.
Only problem is that's only got at best a 6 Gig HDD and a questionable sound card for a six-year-old computer. Sucks rocks because my current computer has an entire empty HDD on it.

I've tried my hand at it:
KOF 99 has a problem where I didn't record the audio-- my old computer doesn't record line input for some reason.
Star Gladiator 2 is where I piped the audio into my current computer and recorded it with CoolEdit. Seems like a convoluted way to do things, but it works (hell I read somebody's tutorial that even suggested doing that in the first place... but it seems like an extra step over what it really should be).
Sure the videos suck, but I'm not that good at using VirtualDub.
