Don't know if anyone caught this... but KoFOnline.com had the supposed 2k2 logo on its front page. "Challenge to Ultimate Battle"?! Doesn't get more SNK Engrish than that.
Oh, and on a totally unrelated note, greetings and salutations to one and all! :D

I REALLY hope so. I like KOF how it is anyway, but if it can get that same feeling that '98 had I'm all for it. Now, we just have to wait to see who's in the game. I hope it's some old characters or some characters that haven't been in KOF before.

By the by, I think that logo looks like ass... It just doesn't look like it belongs in a fighting game. ;p

You misunderstood me. I like KOF98 the best. When referring to something great, we tend to call it "the shit"(slang). If we're referring to something crappy we just simply call it "shit"

I agree. This thing looks kust it just ripped some fonts and words from Microsoft Office or something. I don't believe its the real official logo (unless Eolith/Playmore is screwing up things again this year).

I LIKE IT. I think it's something to be take seriously now. The words look strong and bold and stuff and it makes the game look that way. The lightning makes it look good. It's a great logo.

Remember way back when MMCafe put up the first official, somewhat skeletal info about 2001, and it had a rather plain and crappy logo? I'm thinking that this may be the same case here.
Overally, its not a bad logo, though it might look better when/if a quality pic of it is put up.

Hmm, I think's it's alright, but not fantastic. But it certainly gives a different "feel" to KoF if it is indeed the actual logo.

It looks like it is not in the tradition of the previous logos.
It would be nice if kofonline.com told where Taku got it or who Taku is. "From Eolith" wouldn't be quite enough of an answer. Something to lend more credibility you know?

I LIKE the logo. I don't know if it's the real one or not, but looks great. Now we need NARUTO wishing that the images were released this week... That would be enough to have them...
This information was revealed in a interview from a HK magazine. The scans of this interview is in the middle of the page.
The ratio is about 7:3 (male:female) !!!

I've heard from someone that the title is correct: Challenge to Ultimate Battle. But I don't think that that logo is the real one when the game comes out. Rather, a placement logo until the char illustrations are out next month. Like the prototype KOF2K1 placement logo when Eolith first announced it was producing it.
On the sidenote, I really hope KOFOnline doesn't return to FortuneCity as its host because it's a shitty server and sometimes the damn FortuneCity error logo appears instead in its images.
(1) The arcade centres' owners will cut cost as they need not buy new motherboards for their KOF machines;
(2) KOF is a game focused on gameplay and not on graphics, so it is not necessary for a high-end motherboard;
(3) It will be easier for the programmers to program KOF2002 as they were already familiar with the MVS motherboard in making KOF2001.
Hmmmmm I think I have said my piece the other time about why KOF should use another board for KOF2003, so I wouldn't want to repeat my stand. But they could jolly well use these "excuses" over and over again every year...Shame that KOF remains stagnant on the MVS board...
