I certainly am that's for sure. The game is too good.
Through sc2 I've gotten back into sc1 and I can definitely see why most people think this is the best fighting game ever.

But just to get the ball rolling, which character are you using at the moment and what do you like most about the game?
I apologize if this kind of topic has been done before.

Anyways I'm using Raphael at the moment (IMO, best new character design in sc2) and I most like the fact that Ivy was improved tenfold. Oh amd the bouncing ^_^

Ivy is super in SC2. That's all I gotta say. It's good to see her daddy is back. And not too easy at that.

I'm liking Talim. I used to be good at Ivy, but haven't gotten the hang of he in SC2 yet. My only complain is that at least at my local arcade, the computer is too good at throw escaping. I had to have tried throughing about 15 times and only 3 were actually succesful.

I play Raphael and Ivy. Stop copying me. *poke*

Ivy is insane now. Raphael's pretty nutty too... hell, they're all bonkers.

I played it for a bit over the weekend. I tried out Raph and thought he was pretty neat. I don't like the English voices especially Yoshimitsu's although Mitsurugi's is ok. Has anyone here tired the 5-min Training mode? I haven't and wondering if it teachs anything new.

Cervantes is her daddy. He's got both swords.

Not really. Basically it let's you choice your opponent and their level of A.I (easy, medium, difficult) and then you fight. You can die or win as many times as you want, but only for 5 minutes.

Does anyone know how that whole making a comp AI play like you on a team thing works?

Yep... those voices... they're horrible. If they were planning to do this, they should have at least hired voice actors who have some experience in doing voice overs.

Why does Namco US have to "Americanize" the voices? I have no idea. Very bad decision IMO... Namco always does dumb things like this.

It's to the point where Taki has 2 different voices. Her normal squeals when doing attacks, and then a much lower voice when she's spewing her dubbed win quotes.

Actually, I've heard that it was Namco Japan's decision to change the voices, and the Japanese version had the same voices. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Sounds strange to me.

Judging by the Japanese pharses that some of the characters have ("Namu sa!" for Mitsu for example) Japanese sc2 definitely has the original voices.
But I can't understand why Namco of Japan would request that the western version be dubbed. That is strange.

On another note, has anyone here played as Cervantes? If so how good is he? Better or worse than in sc1?

My arcade said it should be getting one in within a week or two. But I know for a fact I'll be playing Astraroth like a fiend... then I'll swing back into my Yoshimitsu and Ivy phase.

SC2 is really fun, but the system is sorta screwy from the old SC1. 8 Way Run is now completely used for all normal joystick movements. For example you can't crouch unless you press Guard + down. If you don't - you'll just 8 way run towards the screen. Graphically it isn't much better than SC1 DC. I've gone back to playing hardcore SC DC and noticed it's about the same. Don't quote me on this, but I think SC2 can be ported to DC without much of a problem. That again is an opinion - so I'm not too sure about it. As far as I'm concerned they switched out Hwang for this Yun---- guy. Hwang was just a swap (with added / taken out moves of Xianghua) - so I guess they decided to really change hwang. Talim and Raph seem to be the only totally new characters. I mean Cassandra and Yunsung aren't exactly completely new.

As far as I'm concerned Taki is still way overpowered - just like SC1. oh she looks a lot better too btw.

My arcade has "arcade mode" set on the highest difficulty - so it's kind hard to beat the game with new characters (raph and talim). Still, a training mode for 5 minute training is there for people who want to check out the system without getting slaughtered.
