It's strange, now, when I try to enter there from http://www.mmcafe.com, the explorer prompts a download window telling me to download an archive called "mmcafe", and doesn't let me enter to the page.
I can enter from http://www.planetps2.com/mmcafe, so it's not a problem of the site but of the direction...
Do you know why happens this??

You're most likely using a "plain" Internet Explorer 5, which is not updated with a patch, or upgraded to a higher version. It's due to a bug in the program. It'll go away if you delete the cache.

On a side note, IE5.0 with no patch are extremely vulnerable to attacks and viruses, so I'd recommend that you at least patch it up to 5.0SP2.

I have IE 5.50SP2, and to assure, I've downloaded the latest version of IE5.50 that they offered in windows update, but after installing it, I still couldn't acced.
However, I deleted the internet cache and then I could. If this is happening even with IE5.50: Could it be an error of the page?

That's weird, haven't happend to me since I've upgraded.

I'm assuming that the only reason why it may be happening is because it's due to the GZIP function that the server uses. (It sends the HTML data in compressed format, which makes it nearly 10% of the original size.)

If your IE is already patched/updated, the MIME bug in IE should've been way fixed, so it should'nt be happening. In which case, I've got no idea why it occurs.

I've asked the server owner about it a bit back, and he's told me that nobody else who has an account in the server's complained about an error like that. I know it happens only when there's cache still left over, so by theory, it's the client side's program that's causing the error, not the server. But I've never encountered a problem like this before in other servers, so I also have to wonder about that too.

I'll have to think about it in the future again, since I don't know how long I'll be staying on the current server. Long term plans, of course. It's not like I'm planning on moving, but things.. tend to happen.
