Hey! With Soul Caliber 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, and the (hopefully) eventual NA releases of KOF2000, KOF2001 and Guilty Gear XX on PS2 I'm finally thinking about getting a fighting stick for it. However all of the 3rd party sticks for the PSX were rather cheap and wore out extremely easily. I had the Agetec Dreamcast fighting controller and am still pleased with it.

What I'm asking is if anyone knows a quality PS2 fighting stick. Thanks!

In this country the BEST solution is to have an electronic engenieer to build you one; they are cheaper than official stick (normal PS2 stick worths like 19.000 -normal, not arcade nor anything-, while a custom one worths like 25.000 with featres you select (size of the stick, size of the buttons).

I am still hopig to build a key board stick for the PS2; but I need keys ;P

I own a mas stick with hookups for my DC and PS systems. If you like american style joysticks, and can afford it... I think you should definatly go for a mas stick. It has been my favorite joystick of all time.

I might have to go with the mas stick. I just wish there were something between that and the crap you generally find at Babbages or some equivalent store.

It seems much harder than it should to get a decent arcade stick. I had to put a request in at an independent used video game store to get my Agetec Dreamcast one. And when I went to pick it up and hesitated at the $60 price tag, the clerk told me if I didn't buy it, two other guys were in line after me and would gladly shell out the cash. I mean, THIS is the best I could find for either a PSX or a PS2. I have a PS Naki stick, but it's so crummy, when you try to play with it, it sounds like someone peddling a rusty bicycle.

Thanks a bunch for the link guys.

Interact (www.interact-acc.com) makes an arcade stick for PS2, the Shadowblade. Haven't used it myself but it looks decently sturdy and I've started finding unopened/new ones at Electronics Boutique and CompUSA for $39.99. In fact they are in stock at CompUSA's website.

Shadowblade is utter trash in my opinion. Of course I think the Official Green/Grey DC joystick was utter trash too.
