"Playmore has updated their game release schedule in Japan, KOF2001 and Metal Slug 3 are officially announced for home consoles:
Jul 25 - The King of Fighters '99 (PSone re-release) Jul 25 - Metal Slug X (PSone re-release) Aug 8 - The King of Fighters 2000 (Dreamcast) October - The King of Fighters 2000 (PS2) December - The King of Fighters 2001 (PS2, DC) December - Metal Slug 3 (PS2)"
I think that's pretty cool that Playmore is releasing KOF 2000 and 2001 on the PS2. So that means that there is a chance that it will be released in the US. On PS2 though. Oh and Metal Slug 3. I went to Playmore's site and it's still not updated though. So this may not be as "official" as they say it is.
I gotta start saving money for KOF 2000, and 2001.

You could be right. Signs lead to it.
Playmore hasn't updated their site yet, so until then this IS a rumor.
At least on the Metal Slug 3 and KOF 2001 for PS2 thing.

It seems that they're scheduled for release in December, price undetermined as of yet. Probably be announced within a few months officially.
