We just learned about tertiary tints, shades, and mutes in 'Color and Design' and that cover is a beautiful usage of such... K's yellow orange hues contrast dynamically with Kula's blue violet shades. The "Yellow Orange/Blue Violet" scheme is used when you want to give an "intense" look to a picutre, and I think it's very well place here...

Don't think there will be US box art for KoF2000 on DC....
hehe, i almost stole a zone of the enders (anime) poster out of "dragonball world" the other day (it's not the name of the store but that's what we call it. the people who work there are idiots, filling people with false gaming information. and 99% of the stuff they sell is dragon ball merchandise). but .. i ended up not doing it because i don't trust my luck -_-
uh, that and stealing is bad very bad ^-^

there's a possiblty the PS2 version might be ported (and if by Agetec censored too!) to the US... I think... and if it comes over it'll get an ugly cover, since what American would buy a game with a "nice cover" pfffff!

Agetec tends to used the Japanese covers for the SNK games, though, so it shouldn't be a problem unless Playmore picks dog ugly covers for the PS2 version...
As for the censorship, look plain and square at SNK who does the censorhip itself for the games (The MVS version of Last Blade 2 has no blood, and Whip loses her gun super in the MVS Kof's). Agetec seems to be hand tied by SNK in this matter (Or too lazy to recode the Japanese game ot make it uncensored...)

I think Agetec knows good cover art when they see it. They did keep the original JP cover in the insert, after all.

MotW was practically unharmed, save for some voice changes for Terry(which IMO were for the better, I like hearing him yell 'Power Dunk' than grunting).

Did SNK really go through all their Garou art and draw underwear lines on B.Janet for the US release?

The MVS versions of KOF and Gekka in general are NOT censored. Only the U.S. MVS versions are. And what's more, the owners of these MVS units could set them to uncensored and leave them in English, anyway. Blame it on the arcade operator; they're stupid.
update:And Whip doesn't have a gun super... You thinking of K9999?

Yeah, I was speaking of the US units. And most arcade operators these days just install the game and are done with it...(Well, up here at least, where Arcades are pretty much dead...)
Thought she did have a gun in a super, but I'm not too sure about it so I could be very wrong here :p. I do know the gun got taken out of her 2k US ending, though...

True, and from the bad reaction SNK got from the US Last Blade 2, they said that they aren't gonna censor their games anymore. So the US fans will probably be getting what the Japanese gamers get from SNK/Playmore. now. Just not all that extra cool stuff like posters and whatnot.
