I don't think I can wait another year to play Xenosaga. Does anyone here use a modchip for their PS2? What is the best one out there now?

I think nothing is better than the Messiah, but it's hard to find, depends of where you live...

they're too into being 'edgy' nowadays. it's all about quirky plot changes and robotic lesbianism now. The battles are flashy though...the cutscenes are way too long...no buttons to press in the meantime either. at least you can pause them!
Buy a Japanese PS2...with the money you spend on a modchip and the installation, it's only like 100$ more to get a fully compatible PS2.
It's the riot of your time...

I have been installing Messiahs for a while now.
Installation on PS2 versions earlier than V5 (current UK revision, US model may be different) is very difficult. My advice is to check your machine version (V5 have an R at the end of the model number) order a chip and find someone who is skilled at soldering, there are loads of Messiah installation sites.
Enigmah for the Xbrick is VERY easy to install and is funding my drugs habit nicely ^^
I charge 70pounds per installation and have done 12 machines so far ^^
