I saw the movie last night. I thought it was good, I was pleasantly surprised they were able to transfer over the elements of the cartoon to the movie. It was very well done.

Did you, by any chance, see Seki Tomokazu in the movie?

Edit - Fixed a spelling error.

The movie is live action with CG Scooby. It actually worked very well, which is why I was surprised, and it looked good.

There are two stupid looking scences I saw in the preview that if they are what I think they are, will make me vomit.

They first one is having Fredie talking slang to someone.

The second is the gang doing the monkey or other random dances in the dark or in a cave.

Are these things as bad as I think they are?

Looks like drek to me. I especially didn't like the original cartoon so a new live action/CG movie barf. What are the chances there's a sceen with Scooby and Shaggy and marijuana, followed by the munchies

grr grr
someone:'that was negative! negative opinion on off topic subject not allowed here!'
What? Ok then..
Sense I posted a negative opinion about something I'll post something positive
Mark of the Wolvers DC was cool.

FF cartoon and AoF cartoons were better than All scooby doo cartoons put together
SNK's gone but Playmore and Brezza are here with many of the same people!

I seen in the cast that Pamela Anderson made a cameo in the movie,as well as Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray. Is that true? What were their roles?

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
Supposedly, according to a UK news website,Scooby Doo had a scene with a quick lesbian kiss(I don't know by who). Glad they cut that out.

End of Spoiler

I haven't seen it yet,but Sarah Michelle Gellar makes a hot Daphne!!

about your spoiler, T.E.... apparently they cut a lot of stuff out of the movie before it's finally print that made fun of the rumors of Velma's sexuality and Shaggy and Scooby's drug use more directly (yet still in a very vailed away)

but since it was cut that means one sad thing:
Those silly cartoon Scooby Doo movies Cartoon Network shows a day after the video goes on sale do a far better job of poking fun at the series then the live action version could ever dream to have done...

Pamela's role-

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
In the beginning of the movie, the Scooby gang looks like they did in the cartoon and are solving a regular mystery, with a guy who is using a costume, Pamela is the owner of whatever the place is they are investigating. After they solve it, the gang breaks up....

End of Spoiler

Mark McGrath's role-

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
All of Sugar Ray is in the movie. They are themselves I guess, and are playing at the island where most of the movie takes place.

End of Spoiler

Oh and whoever was asking about Fred talking slang and stuff and if those scenes are that bad, no they aren't. There is a reason. Just see the movie, if you were a fan of the cartoon, you should like the movie. Oh, and there are jokes about Shaggy and Scooby and drugs.

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
After the gang breaks up and it goes to 2 years later, it shows the Van with a bunch of smoke coming out of it, but really they are just cooking in the van. There is some dialogue before it shows inside the van that makes it sound like they are smoking pot. I don't remember what else, except Shaggy meets a girl named Mary Jane and tells her that is his favorite name.

End of Spoiler

true. Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back was pretty much made for those who are already fans

it's weird. to me (what i've seen so far), there's only two groups out there. there's the group that love Kevin Smith and the group that absolutely hate him

then your opinion on the movie isn't valid, in fact one might wager it makes you look stupid... you can't judge an entire film by it's first 3 minutes...

Go out and rent the Jersery Triology (Cleks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy...optional viewing material: Clerks:the Animated series, Dogma) after watching them, watch Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back from start to finish... after doing so comeback and then tell us if you think the movie was awful or not. Then and only then will you have a valid opinion.
