As far as game play goes Leona is the Shit.
I can kick magor ass with her. People don't expect alot of her moves.
Also I havent bought my KOF2K1 yet so I dont have an opinion about any of the new characters yet!

KOF has hosted a ton of hotties. From Athena to Kula to Mature.
My two favorites would HAVE to be Angel and May Lee. I love these two! Although Angel is hard to use,she's so cool! And May Lee is so awesome! They're both foxy,and they can kick ass in battle,too. Especially Angel,she's brutal to her opponents!
I finally used May Lee in Hero Mode the other day. And it's pretty hard. Her supers are easier to execute,though. But I didn't know once you're hit,you went back to your old self.
I like King.
King is HOT.

I guess it's because everyone is frustrated that Capcom used Vice in CvS and not her. (quite surprising, since Capcom loves to use already done sprites Ryu / Ken / Gouki / Dan / Sean. And I'd bet the ones who would have barked about "they put Mature and Vice, it's 2 times the same characters, lazy Capcom" use a Gôki/Ken team).
For me, ex aequo Shermie, Chizuru and Mai (in KOF, I don't really like her in CvS... don't know why). Then Mature&Vice, Hinako, Diana and King before 99 (stop looking Ryo like this, girl!!)
And if we can say non KOF characters, Shiki (the 2 shikis, the Rasetsu and the Shura) is the most beautifull character I've ever seen. I hope the guy who designed H64 SS has a good job now, he deserves it.

Then, they didn't used Billy, Leona or K' because I think they want to save popular characters for an eventual sequel (like for the 2 : they had Athena and Haomaru as popular characters). Nobody will buy a game with The American Sports Team vs Captain Sawada, Birdie and Shadow Lady as the new characters.
And you're wrong about Todo... Even though he was the only character to be erased between AoF 1 and 2, he became fairly popular after that and arrived 4th in KOF 97 "what team do you want" poll.
Screw you, Mary and Yamazaki, we could have had a Billy/Todo/Kuroko team.... (Kuroko was the only Samurai character allowed in the poll, because he's quite... special, and he arrived 5th, or 4th and Ryûhaku 5th, I'm not sure).

Y'know, I'm glad I saw this topic. I've been gone for a week, but I'm glad I caught this. Blue Mary owns you, Iron D, and you know it. You too, Iggy. She IS the best. Don't get me wrong I like all the females in KoF. But Mary's the best. Now, let us stop with the Mary hating, or I will be forced to use.....drastic measures......nevermind. Just quit. Sheesh. Ok,Ok, Eric hates chunli, but everyone has there opinions. I really dont hate any female character in Street Fighter or King of Fighters. For some reason Im beginning to like Rose a lot (one of the best looking women in Capcom), not to mention Chizuru (she's hot too and mystical) .
