Newtype Japan has recently announced its latest top title rankings from their Reader Response Poll in their June 2002 Issue. Coming in at #1 is the anime series ".hack//SIGN" (based on the PS2 game). In addition, fans in Japan have also voted the "Cowboy Bebop" series at #4 and the original Mobile Suit Gundam still holding strong at #8.

This ranking shouldn't be taken too seriously...The number of votes are most of the time ridiculous, and the bottom of the ranking is most of the time separated by less than 5 votes.

It's got a growing following in the Digisub scene, as a lot of people like it and the music. I'm into it right now, though I'll mkae the final call when I see the whole thing.

Nice to see Rahxephon up there, and FMP too. But Azumanga is too low, as it is my favorite series of the new season...-.-

Boy, I hardly like any of those animes at all. At least Rave wasn't on there. I wanted to puke after watching the first episode, it was the most moronic thing I had ever seen.
