May Lee is an Otaku who always found Heroes appealing, then she saw a golden chance to join the TKD classes along the Korean team in a dojo helded by Kim & Jhun...
Fascinated by the justice ideals of her masters, May Lee gave a huge effort to improve her fighting style hoping that some day she will be able to stand along her masters in the fight for justice.
On a quiet afternoon, disaster has gave her the chance she so much desired, Jhun met disaster on a car accident & he won't be able to recover before the dead line of the tournament, so while seeking a skilled student Kim Kaphwan put his sights over this young lady...
To encorage the "Hero Idea" on her mind May Lee thought on an alternative fashion for her [the Hero Mode] and an alternative name [May Lee], for that her true name is Jin Yu [or something like that]
Of course, I'm lacking some details....
