quote: I normally dont have a problem with any teams, i watch the games just for fun with no real favorite. But i find it sort of unprofessional that the coach and other team members trashtalk about "sweeping the floor" with a team when actually they won by a fluke. Same with other games, like fighting games, i bet you must like if someone wins by only a tick of life and then announces to the world how much you suck? yeah sort of like that.
Bryant is a great player i'll give you that, but someone needs to call a manager into the ego department.
I agree. Lakers are a very talented team, and credits must be given to their team coach Phil Jackson for leading the team well. But they really got to do something about their ego - I really hate them boasting about how good they are. The Kings should have won the series if you ask me, but they lack the luck that has been following the Lakers, and they just lack some playoff experience. Given time, they can beat the Lakers.
Using the fighting game analogy, the Lakers just manage to pull off the SDM effectively when their energy bar is low. They didn't manage to pull off some fanciful combos to win, and that makes the losers feel bad that they didn't seize the opportunities to finish them off when they have the chance.
Anyway Lakers should win the championships, but a sweep is unlikely. Nets is tough nut to crack, and they have won the Lakers before in the regular season too.
The only antidote to my poison is death...Hey! No fair! You have a resurrection move??

But the Lakers' ego was why they were losing with Dell Harris. Phil is actually keeping their egos down. It was bad before Phil. Kobe would never pass and he'd fuck up eventuly. O'nell and Kobe didn't get along either. Lakers always had to talent to win. But, they where suck cocks to each other and didn't play well together that they didn't win till Jackson.

You are absolutely right! Kobe still doesn't pass enough. That's why the Lakers lost to the Kings in one of the games where the Lakers could have won. Kobe didn't pass the ball, and at the last second he thought he was gonna make the last shot (with 2 guys all over him) and he threw it up there and missed. With 2 guys defending him that means that someone was wide open just waiting for Kobe to pass to him.
Anyway, lets just hope that Shaq doesn't step on anybody and gets suspended from the rest of the playoffs. If that happens then the Lakers will lose.
