Okay, sorry, again, but how do YOU say KOF? My old roomie and I would bounce around from sometimes saying KAY-OH-EFF to *COUGH*, though we use the latter way more and rarely say the first. Actually, we'll say the KING OF FIGHTERS more often than we do KAY-OH-EFF. Maybe you use something else... What's your take?

My friends and I always refer to the year name and we all know it is "KOFxx". We don't say it is K-O-F or *cough* or anything. Interestingly, we never confuse it with some other game.

For example:

Friend: "Hey what shall we play at the arcades later?"

I: "Lets play 2000. There is only 1 '01' machine there and there are no '99'."
(Play KOF2000 as there is only 1 KOF2001 machine and no KOF99 machines)

The only antidote to my poison is death...Hey! No fair! You have a resurrection move??

With my brother, I tell him we are playing K-O-F, sometimes with the year after it. SOmetimes I will say 2000 or 2k and 2k1. But I sometimes elaborate with my friends by saying "King of Fighters" too.

I used to say "Kay-Oh-Eff" then the year so I'd say to my friend "yeah K-O-F-96 is my favorite" but lately she's been having a hard time figuring out what I mean when I say "K-O-F-2k" or "K-O-F 2k2" or what not so out of fustration I say "the... King... of... Fighters... Two... Thousand... And... One" or the like.
