Can you tell me the good and bad things about this game?
While your at it, can you suggest some good games for the Dreamcast that I could get?
Q3 for DC is, IMO, the second best FPS on console market. First being HALO. It's best if you got a mouse and a keyboard to go with it, since playing it with the pad is a pain in the ass.
I've been playing quake for a while now, and when I first tried the DC Q3 with my friends on the pad, I almost got my ass whopped. I trashtaked saying "give me mouse and keyboard, and I'll take all of you on... at the same time!" Well, the next day I went and got the keyboard and the mouse. Unfortunately, we played where there was no network connection, so we could only play 3 players (mouse and keyboard taking up two controller slots), so I took 2 of them at the same time. score was 20 to 5, my win. :) I was leading 19 to 1 first, but I handycapped myself by not using any rockets or railguns. Having keyboard+mouse makes a hell of a diffrence.
But if you're used to playing Q3 on PC, you might be a bit dissapointed. The frame rate is not bad, but not very good either. It averages out to about 30fps. If you split screen, even less.
I've been playing Q3F for a while now (Quake 3 fortress), a Team Fortress MOD for Q3 on PC. It's great. www.q3f.com check it out.
