Petitions don't work, sending well written e-mails or at least trying to post something on the official message board (is it still exists) would be better.

I'd be surprised if any petition from petition online ever achieved its goal.

Unless it's for the kiddie-fied & cell-shaded version of MGS on GC, I won't be signing that partition...
I'm serious!!

But I'm not gonna get anything out of it either...not unless they make it connectable to a GBA version which I doubt will happen.

That would be so Bad Ass!!! Playing as little "Superdeformed Snake", and all the bosses could wear little jammy suits that looked the animal they're named after.
and no that's not sarcasim that's a game I want to own!
but more to the point, on-line petitions don't work mainly because nothing is stopping someone from making up fact names and e-mail addresses... 1 person with lots of free time could make it seems like thousands want something when they're the only one.

I think this particular petition could work if it somehow gets to Hideo Kojima. He's a real fan friendly type of guy. He also said that he would like to work with something on the GameCube so why not Metal Gear. A port of MGS2 would be good. Plus, he stopped being the Producer (or director, I'm not sure right now) of MGS games, but if said that if the fans want him back he'll come back and do it again, so this petition could work. Also with the GC being $150 there's a good chance for a big market on the GC with more people buying it now at a lower price.

lol this petition is ridiculous, read the requirements:
1) You are a HUGE Metal Gear Solid fan and have played the original game 2) You will be buying a Nintendo Gamecube 3) You own more than 10 mature rated games 4) You will buy Metal Gear Solid 2,the very first day it comes out for Nintendo's Gamecube. 5) You are 17 or older, and are allowed to play Mature rated games.
I must own more then 10 mature rated games?! what does this have to do with anything? and I have to buy a gamecube and buy MGS2 the first day it comes out, so he is basically ORDERING me to do something @_@

It's not that ridiculous, it has it's reasoning...
quote:1) You are a HUGE Metal Gear Solid fan and have played the original game
-obvious, you're such a big fan you'll be up set if you never get to see what happens next.
quote: 2) You will be buying a Nintendo Gamecube
-well duh
quote:3) You own more than 10 mature rated games
-to show people who own Gamecubes enjoy M rated games as well... though realistically I own like 3 M games, people who own 10 probably already have MGS2
quote:4) You will buy Metal Gear Solid 2,the very first day it comes out for Nintendo's Gamecube.
-really should have been grouped with the fan part, I assume this is to say the game will move fast if on the system.
quote:5) You are 17 or older, and are allowed to play Mature rated games.
-because the petition is for people who can legally buy the game, not snotty little 13 year olds who think blood and titties makes them "mature" so they want as much of it as possible on a system they own.
