The game was completely disappointing. Even though the game is handled by a different developer, EVERYTHING IS THE SAME!! The graphics are just short of embarrassing, almost to the point that it looks like a PS title running with PS2 enhancements. The gameplay is exactly the same. I felt like I was playing Tenchu 2... controls are identical, grappling hook works the exact same way, I wasn't spotted during the demo (though the boss killed me with a gun... drank my health potion earlier by accident with no damage >_<). You could only play Rikkimaru (sp? I forget honestly) in the demo.
The one interesting thing is that the more stealth kills you do, the more little kanji you rack up. When you have a certain number you'll learn a new technique. The first one I got was an elbow move by hitting attack, attack, down+attack. It propels the target about 50 feet forward or into a wall/building, looks quite cool but most enemies just block it.
Combat is really kind of awkward overall... sorry to have such a negative report, I was looking forward to the title too. :(

Man...this sounds like a bomb...and I really like Tenchu...well there is some hope...it's a beta/demo right? Things could change.

Man...this sounds like a bomb...and I really like Tenchu...well there is some hope...it's a beta/demo right? Things could change.
I really hope it turns out better for the final product! I really like Tenchu!
