She's always looked manly, because she's supposed to. Yes, she was fatter in KoF.

I always think King is rather cool. She is not pretty, and basically a tomboy, but she has character and shows an emotional side of her, taking care of her brother.

The only antidote to my poison is death...Hey! No fair! You have a resurrection move??

No I don't think King looks worse in CvS, I don't think she is ugly, and I can tell she is a woman.

Nice indeed.

Anyway, King is one of my favorite characters to play as overall.

First off, she's one of few characters who can throw two - two projectiles at once. Second, unlike most girl fighters out there, she can and will put up a fight against any guy. Shoot, if I ever play '94 or '95 and I pick the heroine team, King's the one character I can't afford to lose because Mai and Yuri lack the pop and stamina King has and plus, King is my best character in that group overall.

What else? Oh! King has one of the best personalities overall and plus, she's hot.

In terms of CvS, Capcom made her look way anorexic. I'm serious! That's plain wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

Anyway, here's a very silly, yet kawaii pic of King.

King as Haruka/Sailor Uranus

To round it off, Mai is Makoto/Jupiter and Athena is Rei/Mars.

Side notes -

1. Belive it or not, it took me three long years to find this pic. Yes, three! When I visited the artist's site, it couldn't load up for some reason.

2. I somewhat, knew the artist. Her name was Ishikawa Chikako, but people knew her as Chika. She doesn't draw anymore, nor has her site up because people kept bugging her and such and it got to the point that she didn't want to run her site anymore.

anyways, i'm surprised so many people dislike King here. i think she's an awesome character and all of my friends overuse her. i thought it'd be the same here. ah well

i don't see anything wrong with her CvS sprite. yes, i could easily tell she's a girl. maybe you guys just have something against her bouncer outfit. oh yea, and she's got sweet-looking legs (especially in CvS). just beautiful how they're shaped. i could watch her fight forever

i'll have to agree with one of you (forgot who said it exactly). they made her look weIRD in AOF, but then again, they made everyone look weird in the old snk games so i won't complain

I recognize the style of the artist; too bad she "is not with us" in the artistic fashion....

King; the young FEMALE Bouncier of the L'amour cafe on AoF 1; properly dressed with stylish formal clothes and using mue tai; always being a standar of style on the AoF world & the KoF world for the matter, being ahead of her time (First character with autoguard -AoF 2) and having a complicated story has ensured this character success... thoug fistly she was designed to be disguised as a man; after gained some popularity SNK saw it fit to have King show a more feminine sprite.

She Rocks.

1.- they removed that because it may have became necessary to include that detail with more characters -mostly on the female side, my bet-

2.- On the sprite change from '95 to '96 they took that out in order to save the work to do it again...

Actually I heard SNK was going to keep it but had been criticized for making the fight look like it too adultish (clothes tearing off females is usually associated with rape), so it was removed.
