Well, I plan on getting the whole series, so I can't skip 4 episodes....I am an anime collector and watcher. I'll watch them all again. Shoot, I've watched all of my Kenshin stuff multiple times.
Well, since you guys are collecting the DVDs, did Akamatsu-sensei make his first appearance yet? I'm asking this because I know they must have hired someone to play as him in the dub, or am I wrong? I dunno how the scenario works. =P
I have the second volume, but haven't watched it yet. I don't know, who is Akamatsu-sensei and which ep does he appear in? The second vol. only goes from 5-8, and vol. 3 isn't released yet.

The real problem is that manga and anime are not the same for the promised girl...
For the manga, Mutsumi gives the complete explanation in the volume 10, which is confirmed by grandma in the volume 14...
For the anime, there's no answer, Mutsumi (her again) explains it...
Kanako's promise is another one... both in manga and anime...
And for Mei, she exists also in the manga, but is not developped : Naru talks about her in volume 14, and you can see her at the wedding...
