No, but seriously -- I've heard about this incident for a good while now. But, it seems they haven't caught the perpetrator even still to this day, so the disguise really must've worked. However, wonder what happens when the thief runs out of roses to sell, if (s)he was indeed selling them.

Still, it's interesting that it occurs in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is supposed to be the furry capital of the world. Doubt it was someone from the furry fandom who did it, though. Most folks in that fandom have costumes that would be too identifiable.
