(for this post Dr.Baghead will be played by: Roger Ebert!)

I didn't find it all that funny... the idea wasn't that creative or well excuted. It seems like something a whinny little DBZ fan would make because he couldn't see Vegeta punch a red hole in Freeza but instead it was purple and wasn't old enough to buy the "uncut" DVD. And even if we assume this was made before the creation of "Adult Swim" the believeblity that any network would spend that much to censor an anime is insane, anime isn't popular enough to warent that much investment.

and more importantly Juan, how were you able to cram all the Spanish I learned over 5 years of school into your avitar AND fit in that dog picture?

Heh -- I really wonder how this series would turn out if it was shown in Mexico. From what I've seen (at least a while back), I wouldn't be surprised to see it as daytime TV...

Jokes kinda aside now, I suppose it kinda depends on the market. I guess Vision of Escaflowne is an exception -- but well, Hellsing just doesn't seem like it could really be molded in the way the parody describes it (thank goodness. ;] ) The animated Monster Farm series by TMS Kyokuichi, though, I believe was already a shounen show -- so when BKN Kids got a hold of it and "localized" it, besides replacing the original music (oftentimes for the worse) and adding in toony sound effects, it wasn't as hard to cut any blood, dead human persons, any sequences which could be portrayed as lewd, or any heavily emotional scenes. Still ruined the continuity.

(Despite the rather bad cuts, I still rather disagree with those folks on the Monster-Rancher.com message boards who say it should appear on Adult Swim... Toonami perhaps, but not Adult Swim.)
