Has anyone heard anything about this? If it's true then I might just do what I always said I would never and waste my hard-earned cash on a ps2.

Seeing how Playmore hasn't officially confirmed any of the PS2 port rumors yet, I'd suggest you to wait a bit. I don't think SNK/Playmore will have any presence at upcoming E3 (Although Eolith & Mega Enterprises might have some PC ports), but who knows what'll happen at next Tokyo Toy Show?
