I'm looking for a roomie. If you've already booked a hotel room I'm willing to split the cost. Otherwise I'll be sleeping on the floors of friends, which isn't all that bad but a bed is nice after such long days.

Just post on the thread if this description fits.

I've always wanted to go there! *Sighs*

I can't help you.

Since you're going there, check to see if there's news behind a new Para Para Paradise. Also, give me some fighter news. Arigatou gozaimasu! Honto ni!

I don't think there will be any info on PPP. Heck last year there wasn't even a DDR machine, just PS pads.

E3 is still at LA this year.

Personally, this year just seems pretty unintersting, so I'm only gonna go for a day.

Aloha, Matey! Curiousity question... How do you obtain E3 badges and how much do they cost? Normally, my cousin's friends get us in, but he got fired from Bandai, so this year we're a no go unless we find another way in.

E3 is for developers and press only, so unless you can get yourself affiliated with one of these, forget it.

To me this looks like it'll be one of the best shows in years with the new Mario and Zelda showing, probably some cool Sega games like Gungrave and Shinobi, a lot of new GBA games, Soul Calibur II is almost sure to be there.

So really Chupiler it seems to me like you're nuts. Enjoy your one day there though. :P

Plus, there are always a few surprises at E3 which we really have no way of predicting. Ah, well I'm psyched about it at least.

I know that... That's the obvious answer, but, if you've ever been to E3, you'd know that there are a ton of people swarming around there that shouldn't be. What I meant was how does everyone else who's not in Dev and Press get their passes? Like, Mosquito, how'd you get your pass?

Supposedly it's possible to obtain a pass if you work in videogame retail stores like EB and Gamestop.

Building a psuedo reputable fansite might help.

A last option would be to buy a special pass being sold on the E3 website that costs about 200 dollars.

Don't worry, it's only E3.

I would have to agree with Chuplier. To me, this year's E3 won't be interesting. The Mario and Zelda displays - I have lost interest in those series when they came on the N64.

Sure, there's Soul Calibur II, but that's about it. I hardly pay attention to Sega now these days, ever since the DC died out. The GBA games are a question mark.

So, E3 will pretty much be sorry this year, unless I see some surprises.

To whoever is going to E3, which will also hopefully be me, I hope you get a lot of free shit. Last year, they were so stingy it wasn't funny, although I did get a free NGPC hat from the SNK booth as a bribe to not play KOF99 since I stayed there all day and was beating everyone... Whee!

Getting into e3 is quite easy really. Simply go to www.e3expo.com and register and pay. You simply give a company name (real or not) and whatever title you want on your badge. Getting a free pass or a press pass is difficult, which is why most people think it is difficult to get into e3. If you have the money, you can get in.
