Crap....I know you'll appreciate my Kenshin message title, TK. I'll miss you while you are away, I thought you hadn't been around in a little while. Don't worry, unless the cafe disappears, I will definately still be here. By the time your back I'll be in Columbus, GA at my third college (LOL) but I'll still have a computer, so tell me when you get back so I can say hi! You will be missed, keep up the good work, and if you can get ahold of a comp while your there, get in touch with us. We'll see you when you return.  A new Kenshin DVD comes out a week from Tues...see you until you leave and when you return to us here at the cafe!

I don't think you have to apologize for not being able to post on a bbs for a while.
I offer couple suggestions, but I understand if your parents are already set. Are they punishing you for something or they just think you need a dose of "real life" <bleh>?
Even if you're not allowed to bring any luxuries with you, the people you'd be living with might allow some after time.
You should politely tell your parents what you think about the situation, and that you don't want to go, but I supposed you tried that already.
Depending on how old you are- Come up with an alternative like sign up for a couple college classes that will count toward your current or future college major, and/or also get a part time job or even full time job for the summer of your own choice, assuming thats a preferable alternative for you. The classes and text books might be 100s of dollars but if your not rich you could make up for it easy enough with a part time job. For your parents sake it sounds like you should pay for the classes yourself unless they go with it and comp you. Even if your still in high school you can take college classes. At a lot of universities you can take them without being officially enrolled, especially in the summer, through "open university" or "open enrollment". If you do any of this you might want to have the whole plan laid out ahead of time for your parents approval. The only risk with that if they say no, you lost a little time doing some work to find a job/classes.
Don't tell them I suggested anything because they might get mad and call my parents and say I can't make suggestions about your life and interfere. j/k I don't know you that well.

Wow, this are BAD news. If you can, please find the nearest webcafe and make it your escaping place... Also, try to find good books (books are not prohibited, are them?), and, as Zam said, try to enjoy cooking. That way, I hope your 3-monthas-as-a-slave period will be less painful.

Altought I dont know the exact reasons why this happened, and as unfair as this situation is, just play it cool and follow their orders exactly as they say. Try to keep them happy and they will be less likely to bother you or cause uncomfortable situations, and they will maybe give you more liberties.
Like Zam said, day dreaming helps during daunting or monotonous tasks, and drawing is a valuable ally.

So basically I'll disappear for three months. This is all because my parents decided it was time for me to taste the true bitterness of life. I'll be worked to death with little food (as they only eat small portions of health food up there). That or I'll be expected to cook.. and if that's the case we'll all starve. (Sorry, I refuse to be forced into being a house hold wench. I am NO ONE'S bitch.)
But I figured I'd announce it. This is announced ahead of time. I'll be leaving within the first two weeks of may. But I figured posting this early would let more people hear the news... hopefully it'll reach those who care. ^_^; ha ha ha ha!
