Why do Videogame dragons NEVER seem to breathe fire? Or if they do, there are always other types of them that seem to be colored after the colors of a rainbow and then some!

Well, I guess that adds variety, I mean Fou-Lu's my favorite Dragon and he's Ice elemental (for the most part), I especially like his Astral Dragon form!

What's your favorite VG Dragon?

Shinryu from FFIV was really freaking powerful, as was Divinegon from Dragon Warrior III.
I guess the coolest one would be Ryu from one of the Breath of Fire games, though...

If the game dragons don't seem to breath fire I guess it is because the games are from Japan; Asia has slightly different dragons as you can see in traditional art; and fire-breathing idea comes from Europe.

The same dragon with a different color is basically because it's easy to do for programing.

My fav dragons include the dragon from Golden Axe that burns everything. Also some dragons from old PC games that noone would recognize.

The dragons of the Panzer Dragoon series are the best, IMHO. Especially the main dragon from Panzer Dragoon Saga. That thing was practically invincible. Oh, and the Guardian Dragon (also from Panzer Dragoon Saga) was just awesome...

Yeah, Azel's dragon was so bad ass. I had so much fun with the dragon customization options in that game. I found myself always setting up camp, just so I could change my dragon's look.

side scrolling beat-em-up: Dungeons and
Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara!

Um, my dragon had to be a bit spoilerish in nature :p

The dragon I'm talking about is the last
boss. Yup, the one who could kill you in one
breath unless you had the Dragon Shield.
That was one scary (but very exciting) and
fun dragon boss.

The designs of each of the forms the dragon could take were so AWESOME! Also...
