, posted Mon 15 Apr 18:56 The DC game shenmue is the best rpg adventure game I had ever played. But this question is for the people who knows what shenmue is. My question is, in-order for you to play shenmue 2 do you have to have saved information from shenmue 1 to play shenmue 2.

Nope, you don't need any save game info from Shenmue 1 to play part 2, but if you do you'll carry over the moves which you've previously learnt.

If you played it already you should know...
A save file from part 1 carries over the moves you bought from that game as well as a few items, but is not necessary to play the actual game.

RackPacker: As Freeter and holiday said, you don't need the save from Shenmue 1 to play Shenmue 2, but if you do use the save you get to carry over your character you earned through gameplay :) A great reason to get Shenmue for Dreamcast instead of B.O.box :) I imported Shenmue 2 from Europe so I could have the Dreamcast version that Steve Baumer tried to anti-compete away from us and steal for faehg-box
