Which do you guys think is better: KOF 99 OST or Arranged? Trying to find out before I choose to buy.

Can't decide huh...try here and sample some of the tracks.

I'd go with Arranged, but only because "Tears" is SO good on that one...very dramatic.

EDIT: Fixed link.

Arranged...SNK to me has always done Arranged better than the OST.

-176th street(is that correct?) is FANTASTIC!
-The Neo Hero team theme is good
-Tears is...beautiful
-World War 3 sounds really dynamic

All in all AST is better IMO.

I suggest you get both :P
99 is probably one of the best KOF soundtracks.

But if you're only going for one, I recommend the arrange. WWIII is incredible arranged. I really like Sha La La, but the chorus in the arranged one wasn't that good. If only there was a mixed version......

KOF 99 Arrange Rocks
I recommend KOF2K Arrange (I think this is the best KOF Soundtrack ever!)

OST. Many of my favorite tunes got butchered as far as arranged music goes (Yuri's AOF 2 track is the top offender.).

But have you heard the arrange for 99? I understand that you might have bad experiences with ASTs, but since he's asking about 99 specifically, I think this should be answered on a specific basis. Then again, taste varies from person to person...

More or less if that's what's used for the Neo CD system tunes, then yes. AST aren't all bad (There are some good ones I'll admit.), but as stated earlier, most of my favorite tracks seem better on the OST.

Personally, I've always prefered the arranged sound tracks. To me, it's the one advantage Neo CD has.
