Well I've never owned a gateway, but from the description, it sounds much like the focus brand boards i like to use. I recommend a FK-8200 as a replacement. I have one of these things and it is marvelouse. Has an extra row of function keys that can be programmed to 20 keystrokes apiece...add to that a built in clock/calculator and this thing rocks hard.
