Hey, I was gonna post this on my message board, but since it still only has 4 registered users and is new, I figured I'd talk about it here. My discussion is what do you think of Midway's remakes of arcade classics Gauntlet and Spy Hunter. I have not played the new Spy Hunter yet (I will soon) but I love Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. I have liked all the new incarnations of Gauntlet, and Dark Legacy ha them all in it. I think the graphics are great and the gameplay is as well. The only thing that may bother some people is changing camera angles, but I'm fine with it. I have the latest version of it on GCN, but have played the arcade versions of Gauntlet Legends and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. In any case what do you all think? I think the remaks are good and true to the originals and are improvements (at least Spy Hunter LOOKS like it is, I don't know for sure yet).

I did enjoy Gauntlet remake on DC, but haven't played PS2/GC versions. I didn't think they were that different to warrant a purchase...
SpyHunter remake on PS2 was fun. Nothing spectacular, but just fun. Unfortunately, Xbox version of it suffers from somewhat problematic port. I played it for a bit on a friend's Xbox, but the framerate seemed choppier & the game just didn't seem as smooth as PS2 version overall. Although Xbox version did have original(?) SpyHunter built in as a bonus, not to mention shorter loading times. Haven't played or seen GC version to compare to PS2 version...

I think there are some differences in the GCN version of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. I know there are items in it that aren't in the other versions, but I think there may be some other differences as well.
