I just watched the movie RE, it was not the best movie i have seen, but it probably was the most loyal video game movie i have seen yet. They have quite a bit of Resident Evil references from the game, the stages look like something taken from the video games, and the soundtrack is quite fitting.

If you like Resident Evil a lot, go see it, you will enjoy it (keep in mind that this doesnt follow the regular video game story line at all.) If you dont like Resident Evil or dont know much bout it, stay away from it and go see something else.

He, he; really?? that is extraordinary; those Matrix kicks where disappointing; the game is more about ploy and Horror; not fights.

At least you have keep my faith... (I have only saw some trailers about it)

And you are not up to dodge ball; that's for sure

Yes, i got to admit the matrix kick was not needed on the movie at all, theres also a bullet time effect used at some point, which was also lame since everyone and they dogs can do bullet time and matrix effects these days.

Other than that it was a good movie for resident evil fans.

You are not up to dodge ball. You will eat green bananas for the rest of your days.

I think capcom is back to their stage of stupid box art. They can do better than this.

I totally (and strangely) agree with you, I like how they managed to avoid messing up virtually anything related to the game series, and that part near the end does add a bit to RE3!

*RE2 and RE the Movie SPOILERS!*

I really don't like that they were trying to make the Red Queen based on Shelly, I doubt her father, Dr. Williams knew much about computer engineering...

*END Spoilers!*

Call me weird, but they could easily make a semi decent game based off the movie if they make it with the devil may cry engine. Quick cash capcom! just the way you like it! Or maybe not, bad idea.

I liked how they handled the Resident Evil story, seems like an alternate story or universe, but you can see how it links to the events of the game.

Was it just me or the ending kicked ass? :D

I absolutely agree. I saw the movie as being true to the game. You don't need to regurgitate a current game's plot to make a good movie. Paul Anderson did a good job with crafting the story. And yes, Capcom says this is part of the RE continuity, and after seeing the movie, I believe it.

Also, I have to admit.. the last scene where Alice walks out of the hospital... that one scene looks like it could have been copied out of the game itself.

I'm about to see this movie in an hour or two
lucky me got free tickets
I've barely played the game so I will just be looking at the movie more than the game comparison....
