I'm still a bit skeptical when it comes to games-turned-movies,IMO. Mario Bros sucked,SF sucked,MK wasn't that great, and Tomb Raider was SOOOOOOO boring.

Who are the stars of them movie again?

No big stars in the movie Talbain... Milla Jovovich, Michelle Ridriguez (who was also in Fast and the Furious). Not really recognizable names.

Oh yes, the movie has some neat things in it... you have to see how it ties everything from the game together.

Your reviews seems to one-sided, have you any negetive comments on the film? They need not be major, just anything that didn't seem right...

I just feel better about reviews if they can say a movie was great but needed to fix a few things (or conversely, it sucked and had a few things that could have worked)

Umm.. they killed off Michelle Rodriguez... that wasn't very nice. Lets see what else... the Red Queen (the hologram) was a little too silly for my tastes.. but still morbid in a way. I cant think of much to change. I try not to be nitpicky when seeing the movie. What to change though... I dont know. It seemed like a fair representation of the game series. Maybe some more RE easter eggs. Maybe mention of some other RE aspects.. maybe mentioning STARS and other things. But overall, the movie was fine the way it was.

The Michelle Rodriguez thing isn't really a "bad point" it's a personal opinion (If I hated her, that's a reason too see the movie for example)

but the rest is very valid, hmmmm... I didn't HATE the bad pun of Alice and Red Queen (Read "Alice in Wonderland" or watch the movie and know that the "Queen of Hearts" is really called "the Red Queen") so much I'd probably go see the movie based on your review, it might not be dead on accurate to the games, but sounds like silly fun if nothing else.

I didn't find nothing wrong with that. It ties with Jovovich's character very well (see the movie and find out what I mean). There also isn't a lot of scenes where there are wild kicks like that, so rest assured that the movie isn't full of them (I only counted two scenes total).

It may not be an oscar-calibur film, but I liked it just the same.

I've been skeptical ever since they got rid of the man who CREATED the zombie flick genre. Come on how can you get rid of the director of Night of the Living Dead? that just shows utter ignorance in my opinion.

They fired him because he was spoony and wanted to have only zombies in the RE movie.

He didn't give a crap about the movie's integrity, that's why they got rid of him. From the reports it sounded like he wanted to make it campy. (Since everybody knows video games and camp humour go together like bread and more bread!)

Only Zombies sounds good, which is what Resident Evil is all about anyway. At least he would not have used a skimpy Claire MATRIX KICKING A ZOMBIE DOG.

Have you seen the original Night of the Living Dead? (1950-60?) that is the best zombie movie i ever seen since it handles the whole situation as a natural disaster (it almost looks like a documentary.)

I'll go see it anyway just to get a laugh of how silly it is, right after i see blade 2 and ice age.

Ranger: No hard feelings, I've been lurking here for a long time but only posting like, once every few months if even that. ^_^;;;

Why am I the only person here who realized George Romero getting fired was not just a good, but a GREAT decision?

"Well what I want to do is not really make a zombie movie, but a pure action movie with some zombies as more of an aside element and focus on the action." ~George Romero

What the fuck?

Everyone is such a Romero fanboy it's pathetic. Why can't anyone just face reality and realize the following:

ALL FILMS MADE BY GEORGE ROMERO AFTER DAWN OF THE DEAD WERE GARBAGE.

The ONLY possible exception to the above statement is The Dark Half, which had some good moments.

Do yourselves a favor and rent Bruiser, or some of Romero's more recent "films" and you will fall to the ground crying tears of joy that Romero has nothing to do with this project.

Nah.. maybe they should have gotten Sam Raimi to direct. Then maybe Bruce Campbell would get a cameo *LOL* -or- Bruce can play someone from the game (Barry or Wesker anyone? Police Chier Irons?)

You only disliked that because a dog bited the foot; if a cat would have suffered; you will -probably- praising that moment.

Have some memories; but it was good; I remeber more movies like "Muerto de Miedo" (Dunno what US name is) and the Dawn of the Zombies (With Don Ramon Zombie!)
