Ho I heard Mr Bonnel director of Infograme telling something like: France is the future of video games.... They have done nothing good since.... What a shame for me...

quote:"Tekken 4 is a peice of shit" - Tomonobu Itagaki, Tecmo
This one really pissed me off. Seeing as I'm a huge Tekken fan, and having seen DoA3 in action, PLUS having read reviews of DoA3 and seeing the general opinion on it, I don't see where this guy gets off saying something like that. I remember in the article he said things along the lines of "Tekken doesn't bring anything new. Fighting games need more innovation" and things like that, but DoA3 does absolutely NOTHING as far as pushing the envelope for 3d or 2d fighters. What a hypocrite!

...not to put too fine a point on it or anything, but why do any of you care what a bunch of executives think about fighting games?
I mean, if someone within the Microsoft organization loudly proclaimed that the X-Box was the greatest console ever, I hardly think that would upset anyone. What do you expect?

Well, normally is not very polite or professional to call the work of another professional "peice of shit" during an interview. Thats why some people chose this as the best since it is a bit surprising, and because DOA3 was not all that it promised it would be.
Do we care what executives think? not at all.

well if you want to get techinical it is the first console fighting game to get an upgrade disc, I could see that being counted as pushing the envelope as if it works out right it could mean big changes in the market (ie-Super Street Fighter 4 Alpha Turbo Plus Dash Gold: Revival would be obtained not by buying a second game at full prince, but as most a $5 disc or free download so long as you own SF4)
