Okay, I'm going to try my hand making a Tag for this forum (and maybe an avatar). So I need to ask a few questions to make sure I get everything right. So please excuse these newbie questions...*bows*
1) How big can Avatars and Tags be?
2) What code to use for a Tag to appear on the board?
3) I need a host for Tag/Avatar. Can anyone help?

just click in the "use image as a tag" (or something like that) button in your profile, enter the URL, and it's done!

Thanks alot for answering my questions, you were a great help! Thanks for hosting the files too...
Hmmm...maybe we should put togther a tag and avatar FAQ for the board. I'm sure people in the future will have the same questions i have. Also, what's a good Freeware/shareware program for image editing? I tried to half ass it with Inranview but it didn't work out all that well...-.-

Good idea! It would be a nice fature! I make my tag/avs with crappy MS paint... (Man, I wish I had Corel Draw again)

I made mine with MS Photo Editor, MS Paint, ACDSee 4.0 and Animagic GIF32. (that last one is shareware).

I'm good at making simple ones. But not animated yet. Which I STILL don't know how to do.
I've had tons of good tags over the months made by BC Midnight and Daala.

Thanks for the help again...I used Infraview and Ms paint to do the Avatar and Tag I'm going to use, which was a rather roundabout way of doing it. But I'm happy with the way they turned out...(course I used the high quality work of other sources...:)

Thanks...Though i probably should of used a better picture for the tag..Oh well, stuff to learn in the future!!

If you can get and learn Photoshop you can make some really cool tags.
Animated tags/avs take longer to do, depending on the software and the experience you have. I don't usually do those because still tags are faster to do and can look just as good(and I don't have the mad skillz of Daala, Psychosquall and others).

Mad skills? *blushing* Thanks. If you need any images or sprites I have a few listed on my tag site<<. However, I'm trying to add more so..if anyone would like to send some in email me. ^_^

Right now I'm using Photoshop for the main bulk, Fireworks, Flash (animated & for still images). I also use Freehand, which is good for line art and vector art. As you can see I like a lot of macromedia tools...hehe ^_^
